The reported poor harvest from the current fishing season likely means that CFG' s profit for the current quarter will be downbeat.  So, the share price is not likely to be bullish in the short term.

I also beo very long.  Even when the price retreated to 34 c, thought cld still go lower.  Only if we cld be part of the privileged few who apparently have access to inside info, we' ll be millionnaires in no time.  The stock market is a casino for small fries like us - tikam, tikam and may be heng heng  win something.  For CKs, with the apparent handicap of insider info, making money seems a sure thing.  .

MER' s 12-month target price for Sembmarine, set ages ago, was 5.30.  But the counter never reached the target all this while, but  sunk lower.  Now they are still saying their 12-month target price for Sembmarine is 5.30.  Looks more like shifting goalposts.  So, be careful of their calls.

No smoke without fire.  Wld anyone make very serious false allegations out of mischief without any cause.  Surely there must  have been  something not very pleasant which sparked this episode.  Even if the present allegations do not involve YZJ but have some truth, then the  person being accused can' t be a saint - in which case cld there be some hanky-panky activities in JZJ which are  still  well hidden so far?

No schips where got seng li.  The market here seems to be the Sungei Road of schips.  Every now and again, a skeleton falls out of the cupboard.  Yet we keep hogging on to them.  Wander which one is next?

But Midas and CFG are not in the same pool.

Revenue n gross profit have probably stabilised.  Costs are still high, partly due to higher borrowings.  But if the leverage cld  add value to operation and boost profit,  then the great Courts sale may be over.

If I' m not mistaken, the broker can help.  They can consolidate into 1000 units provided there are sufficient odd lot sellers.  But the price wld probably be slightly lower.

Seems there' s some confusion abt when CFG' s 2Q14 results were released.  They were releases on 12 May 14.  There' s no delay.

People who owned Lum Chang for a long time wld have got it free after Lum Chang divested it to shareholders foc.  There was a one-for-five rights issue issue a few yrs ago at 8 cts.  Officially the NAV is 27 cts.  But the RNAV cld be considerably higher.  So, what wld be a good price to accept.  25 cts?  Hope it cld reach around  that level in the open mkt.

I don' t think Tumasek will ever take SMRT private. It sees itself as a value investor and not within its ambit to ensure an efficient public transport service.  That is the obligation of the govt.  My view is that if the govt is making the revolutionary change in bus service, it might do the same for train service and allow operators to operate asset-light, which wld in the end allow other competitors to challenge the incumbents.  If this is the intention, the govt will probably take back the retail space as well, to help defray the govt&rsquo s operating costs so that tax payers will not be overtaxed.

As a public bus user for the past 40 yrs, I am not sure how  tangible  a  benefitthe the new mode of bus operations will bring.  It is likely to be quite a challenge, for example, to reduce the waiting time for commuters, especially during peak hours.  The present problem may be due more to the very huge commuter size (population grown too big at too fast a pace for the  road network to be able to cope with???) rather the reluctance of the bus operators to provide more buses.  Providing more buses will only increase the congestions on the roads, at bus stops and at interchanges.  It is this congestion that has a major impact on waiting time during peak hours from my observations.  Whether I am right or wrong only time will tell.  I have a haunch though it&rsquo s gonna be a mammoth challenge which to govt may not have fully foreseen.

Sure some operators already have wind of what price is being discussed and that chance of an offer is quite good.  Otherwise won' t chiong so hiong within two days.  Only the Sleeping Goondo Experts haven' t got a clue.

I think the catch matters.  If there is EN, and the fish swim farther south, the catch may be less and the  fish companies  may have less to sell.  But then fishmeal price will surely go up.  In fact, likely to sky rocket.  There also seems to be a recent post where it was reported that some companies are already holding out for higher price.  Also, CFG had also gone for third party catches.  That was why it had higher inventory of fish at one time.  The margin as a result from buying from third parties may be lower.  Still it contributes to greater profit at the end of the day.
