x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Hi Remister,   5years ago, Temasek accumulated more statschp shares at $1.77 via a privatisation exercise. Offer lapsed and Temasek ended up with 84% of statschp. Though its not certain whats the average cost of Temasek, selling at $0.4 seems like a ridiculous piece of business, unless its really in need of cash at this moment.

Notice the way the company  handled is different from CMA and HPL shares being acquired. 2.Or maybe the  take over is fluke one?.The company is just going along with the rise in share price and sentiment?Notice the company replied  to SGX on the next morning    at abt 6 am plus  when it was queried  about its rise in  trading activity the day before.I think there must  a lot of thinking at Temasek and its CEO end what is the best  infor  to lodge with SGX. 3.Is SGX going to investigate why there was a big  increase in share px(11.76%) prior the announcement?.Is this not  tantamounting to inside knowlegde and trading? 4.With no info on  who is the buyer and offer px there is a risk that the take over might be a fluke one as mentioned in No2.Company can announce later that the offerer price is not attractive enough resulting a failed take over bid.Subsequently  might see share px  tumble back to under 40c again. Just my2 cents sharing..

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	It is possible, however,the 3rd party must have done his calculation to pay a price which will be very attractive to a single largest shareholder such that it will not resist under prevailing condition. I guess a range of 55c to 68c as our dear " large" fund bought its stake around 1.20 even though this is historical price, irrelevant. This may happen as temasek wld want stats to continue listing to provide access to capital markets easily (given that it requires extensive capital). If e so-called interested party' s really dat interested. She wun shy  2 puplish her name. StatsChp' ll stay @ 0.480-0.485 for couple  of wks.
