More APTT to be sold in the market. Doesn' t sound like good news. Why cannot embrace chinese investors....sigh.

Just have to wait for their Taichung expansion and digitalization to complete.

Seem like after each quarter after dividend payout , the share price will fall further corresponding

For those who hunger for high dividend stock, you need to know the capital grow as well, which dividend collected should > capital depreciation if any.

I' m a big supporter of EX-TB owner trust, which is Macquerie  Infra, which give out stable 10-12% annual dividend. Macquerie have other assets too but shareholders are not satisfy with other investment performance, namely the wind farm at Taiwan and forcing Macquerie to sell off high worth assets to distribute back to shareholder.

APTV is a breakout from Macquerie  which instead of selling prized asset away, they just simply form a new fund to buy it over.

APTV, by the name is not Taiwan Broadband. It is a trust target to acquire pay TV and generate more DPU. However, sadly, years after IPO, TB still the only asset they had.

Have a quick view on the Financial report presentation, EBITDA is used rather than NET profit. I' m not pro in reading financial report, but the money use for dividends actually exceeded the net profit they rake in every quarter. Are they using the balance fund from IPO to issue dividend?

This is not sustainable, which if you purchase the share since IPO, is the dividend collected > capital depreciation?

On paper, this stock give high dividends, but actual case, it seem that no dividend because what you get can not cover what you lost.

Just my 2 cents worth. I did not vested in this. I offloaded all my MIIF shares after they sold off TB and other assets before delisting. Not very optimistic to this APTV IPO eventhough i closely checking on it once for a while.

Paiseh if some history i wrote is slightly wrong.

Hi MissLady,

In all honesty I used to be obsessed with dividends which kind of made me invest in this but now I am learning how to read up on company news like these. I haven' t done any research into this Greater Taichung expansion (like seriously) so I don' t think I am in any position to offer anything due to my complete lack of knowledge.

Which is why I am starting to read up on all the different company views and slowly doing my research in my free time too.

Cheers.

Well on one hand it' s good, the other hand maybe not so, if they do not generate enough cash and have to borrow just to pay for the promised dividend. Don' t forget the money they earn from operating activities have to be used to finance the reparation of equipments as well as paying off older loans.

So it' s up to you to decide if it' s good or not. For me, I am just so-so since nothing has really gone wrong yet and the fact that Temasek is a major shareholder says something.

Assuming minimum yield of $0.065 for the entire year,

% div yield = Total div yield / Current price * 100%

You' ll get 12.03% (2dp).

That' s one way to find.

Any implications of the sale of the trustee manager? Cannot find any information on this as well.
