Price differ mah.....
long CALL at high price sell PUT and low price so if HSI trade within your CALL and PUT price of course you make nothing

some counters may still move up if one is lucky to pick the right counter but has to take profit quickly - mean hit and run,,,,
it may go up further but no regreat cos it might drop more furious than up....

Currently, as seen on the sgx screen, 1 board lot is 100 shares. But most old-timers are so used to 1 lot = 1000 shares.
So, best is to quote number of shares..........refrain from using lots which may still cause confusion even today. |

But SingTel is a solid company with solid fundamentals. She makes close to $1 Bn every quarter... a feat which only the banks
can replicate. She pays 17.5 cts dividends every year. At 3.50, that' s 5% Dividend Yield.
At 3.50, many people will be much, much better off using their CPF savings to park in SingTel to earn 5% than to leave it with
the CPF Board to earn a meagre 2.5%. Plus a chance to enjoy phenomenal capital appreciation.
Below 3.50, for every cent she falls, her Dividend Yield rises by 0.01432%.
Unlike Noble or Ezion or some other weak stocks, SingTel is one stock which the lower she falls, the more attractive she will become
to Fund Managers and institutional investors as well as cash rich retail investors looking for yield and stock price appreciation potential.
And becoz she makes close to $4 Bn per year, a stock like this simply cannot be sold down senselessly. Becoz if her price is low enough,
she will immediately become a takeover target.
At 11.59am, there was a sell-down trade at 3.58 consisting of 5326.7 lots. That cannot be somebody' s grandfather or mother-in-law. It
has got to be a fund manager. Why he sold? Your guess is as good as mine. But probably not becoz that fund manager enjoys selling at
a loss. He probably has over the years accumulated at low prices which gives him a good average price to make a decent profit from this
sale. The dividends he has collected also add to his profits. Selling now to recall capital to seize another investment opportunity or to honour
fund redemption by his clients could be a reason for selling. In any case, one fund' s poison is another fund' s meat. Funds and institutions and
cash-rich retail investors who are looking to buy are watching from the sidelines and rubbing their hands in glee. " Drop some more please. The
lower the better" ... they will be saying.
Having said that, dont buy just yet. Follow her down first. Her 5-Yr chart says 3.30 to 3.60.
3.60 has given way.
We wait and see next if Miss SingTel is wearing a bra_ at 3.55.

It has EVERYTHING to do with trading and investing.
In trading and investing, we always look for support and resistance. Right?
Now, you all tell me.........what does a woman wear bra_ for?
For SUPPORT, isn' t it?
So when a stock is falling and we are looking at her price action and chart to see where her support is, we are in fact studying where
her bra_ is. At which level is she wearing one. The other levels where there is no support... she is bra_less.
So we now wait and see if there is a bra_ at 3.55.
Price is now at 3.57 : 3.58. |

i think, younger population will use grab to get private cars instead of taxi (unless surge demand). Older generation, will still stick to taxi for time being. It' s only a matter of time they will switch. So, taxi will get a smaller share of riders (in absolute number), year on year. Esp, now with tourism coming down, it is even hitting them harder.
Also, most taxi drivers are older in age, and by natural attriution when they retire, this will affect the number of taxi leased. Unless the rental rates comes down, it will be hard for CDG to retain old drivers and ATTRACT new drivers eventually.
