SCM shares hasnt been credited to your CDP therefore you hasnt own the shares, so if you sell today its treated as a short position.
If you sell tomorrow then its treated as selling to close a long posns. I suppose thats what the dealer is saying.

I checked with my Poems dealer, she said only tomorrow then can start trading the bonus share given to us,after checking from cdp that is credited.
Today cannot sell, otherwise will suffer a buyin, I oso confused, they can differentiate today and tomorrow share?

Better to check with your broker to protect yourself

If SCM will be credited to our account on Friday 11 Sep 2020, by right we can sell now right, because they will debit only d+2 which is Monday. Am I correct?
