Obama......won the US election.......at that time.....one of the biggest headache was JOB.....

JOB - many unemployed......the successful of shale oil created many jobs and aggresive explorations in shale oil

has threatened OPEC......in order to maintain market share......OPEC started price war.....oil went all the way down from  $90 to low below $50

down by around 50%.........Oil analysts say the strong production in the U.S. should ultimately wind down.....

Falling oil prices are giving the U.S. job market a shot in the arm......

and falling oil prices aren' t helping the economies of states that are major oil producers.......

Those states rely on taxes from oil revenue to help fund their annual budgets......

which means falling crude prices will force higher taxes.......spending cuts or both.......

If oil prices flatten out at low levels.......some production projects that are no longer profitable will likely be shuttered......

forcing layoffs......some oil-producing states are more vulnerable to the employment hit than others.

Will Janet Yellen do nothing if oil price continue to staying low?.......

Damage there will be.   Let see how much they can contain it.

Beijing' s Market for Second-Hand Homes Rebounds in H1

New government policies credited with boosting sales and prices, easing downturn that started last year

null

(Beijing) &ndash Sales of second-hand apartments increased 91 percent in the first half year compared to the same period last year, data from a real estate agency show.

Individuals bought 84,300 second-hand apartments in the first six months, data from BA Consulting & 5I5J Group says. The average price paid was 37,459 yuan per square meter, up 2.9 percent from last year.

The recent government policies have boosted the market in the capital, said Hu Jinghui, vice president of BA Consulting & 5I5J Group.

Real estate sales and prices started falling in many cities around China starting last year. Beijing' s home sales last year fell by more than one-fifth from 2013, and the average price increased only a little, the agency' s data show.

The central bank has cut banks' reserve-requirement ratios and the benchmark deposit and lending rates three times this year, moves that increased liquidity and reduced the loan burden on homebuyers, Hu said.

The central government lowered the down payment required when buying a second home to 40 percent of the price from the previous 60 percent. Sellers will not have to pay a tax if they owned the property for more than two years. The previous limit was five years.

These policies prompted more people to sell their home in the first half of the year, said Hu. Families were also taking the opportunity to buy a bigger home.

Land sales are also heating up in the capital. A consortium of three developers, including CIFI Group, paid 2.411 billion yuan to buy a plot of land covering 188,800 square meters in the capital' s Daxing District on June 30, beating other developers including China Vanke Co. Ltd. and Country Garden Holdings Co. Ltd. at an auction.

The price would mean the property cost 11,700 yuan per square meter of floor area, based on the purchase price and government limits on building, one analyst said.

Developers were fiercely competing over land in Beijing in the expectation that the capital' s market will rebound soon, said Guo Yi, director of the Yahao Real Estate Selling & Consulting Solution Agency.

Beijing also cut land supply for residential building in recent years, Guo said. The city planned to offer around 1,000 hectares of land last year, but only completed sales for 517 hectares. This year, it planned to make 750 hectares available, but by June 29, it had only completed sales of 169 hectares

Ebola is not air borne disease......

When an infection occurs in humans, the virus can be spread to others through direct contact (through broken skin or mucous membranes in, for example, the eyes, nose, or mouth) with
  • blood or body fluids (including but not limited to urine, saliva, sweat, feces, vomit, breast milk, and semen) of a person who is sick with or has died from Ebola,
  • objects (like needles and syringes) that have been contaminated with body fluids from a person who is sick with Ebola or the body of a person who has died from Ebola,
  • infected fruit bats or primates (apes and monkeys), and
  • possibly from contact with semen from a man who has recovered from Ebola (for example, by having oral, vaginal, or anal sex)

Ebola is not spread through the air, by water, or in general, by food.........

and Medtec more like to produce medical consumables for the global healthcare industry.....not so much on PPE......

just my take,

lyn

Ebola in Liberia: More on the new case

Via Ebola Deeply ,a June 30 report: Setback for Liberia as Corpse Tests Positive for Ebola.
Health officials on Tuesday confirmed that the dead body of a 17-year-old student from Nedowein, close to Liberia' s international airport, has tested positive for Ebola. The news breaks Liberia' s good record of zero Ebola cases since early March the country was declared Ebola-free on May 9, exactly 42 days after the last case.
" We don' t yet know the source of infection," Tolbert Nyenswah, who heads Liberia' s Ebola response, told Ebola Deeply. " We are investigating whether the boy had traveled, and we are listing contacts. The boy died at the home of his father, and we are providing the household and community with the support that' s needed. It is possible that we will find additional cases, but at this point it is only one case."
About 30 contacts are believed to be under surveillance so far, and the nearest Ebola treatment center, in Margibi County, has been reopened. The boy' s parents are believed to be separated, so at least two homes have been quarantined.
An Ebola Deeply reporter who visited Nedowein on Tuesday afternoon, where the 17-year-old boy died, said the village had not yet been fully cordoned off. Nedowein - far from the borders with Guinea and Sierra Leone - skirts the community of Smell-No-Taste, so called because it once housed a U.S. military community known for cooking pungent dishes.
Liberia' s health minister Bernice Dahn said that officials were alerted when relatives called the Ebola hotline soon after the boy' s death. A swab was taken from the boy' s body on June 28, and a safe burial was conducted on the same day.

China is a very BIG market for QTV.......this shows the demand for the products is high......Cardiovascular disease accounts for 25.2%.!!!

Chronic disease on rise in China: health survey

BEIJING, June 30  -- The number of people suffering from chronic disease in China rose during the 2002-2012 period, according to a nationwide health survey released by the country' s health authorities on Tuesday.

The " 2015 report on Chinese nutrition and chronic disease" was released by the National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC) at a press conference.

According to the report, hypertension prevalence among Chinese adults was 25.2 percent, and diabetes was 9.7 percent, both higher than 2002 levels.

The incidence rate of cancer was 235 out of 100,000 people in 2013, according to the national tumor registration, also on the rise, the report said, without mentioning previous data.

Moreover, 533 out of every 100,000 Chinese residents died from chronic disease in 2012, accounting for 86.6 percent of all deaths, with cardia-cerebrovascular disease, cancer and chronic respiratory disease the top causes.

Lung cancer is the most frequently-occurring cancer among Chinese men, and breast cancer among women, the report said.

Longer life expectancy and an aging population prompted a rise in chronic disease, the report said.

It said smoking, overdrinking, insufficient physical exercise and unhealthy diet featuring excessive salt and fat are triggers of chronic diseases.

" Body movement for the average Chinese is at a low level," the report said, finding only 18.7 percent of those between 20 and 69 regularly exercise (at least three times a week, 30 minutes per time) in 2013.

It took researchers one and a half years to finish the report, which was based on latest data from the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Cancer Center and other institutes.

China had its first public nutrition and health survey in 2002, with results announced in 2004. Since 2004, the nation has carried out field surveys every three years to collect data on causes of death, chronic disease and other health issues
