x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Don' t think there is any significant effect. I only know that acrylic acid is made from a raw material - propylene, a form of petrochemical. But I don' t see what impact it got to with acrylic acid price. Maybe market still can' t digest the fact that Sunvic' s founder has passed away and the CEO position is handed over to his son, who may be still young and inexperienced?? Coupled with the facts below: Shortage of propylene in China, which leads to rising cost of manufacturing Oversupply of acrylic acid and esters, which leads to lower average selling prices Success of the MBTE converted plant in generating profits? All above mentioned are most-likely short-term. Long term wise this company should still be good because: Has a large distribution network of key global clients, spanning across many geographical locations Contracts are very likely on a long term basis, especially with big clients. Contracts most likely should also be on a cost-plus basis to hedge against the volatile acrylic acid prices. This is benefical for both supplier and client in terms of long-term supply and cost management. Uses of acrylic acid and esters are many and varied. A temporary oversupply would most likely not negate the growing demand for these promducts Knowledge and know-how in mass-producing AA and AE, manufacturing, processing, maintaining, storing and distributing, etc... If i am not wrong, it is also the largest producer of AA and AE in China. All these are just my views on why I include this bugger in my investment portfolio. Short-term wise, based on technicals and sentiments, market may decide it still drops further. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Adding a few more lots @ 0.47. China acrylic acid price should have bottomed out. This is a volatile and extremely high risk stock. Better not touch if can' t stand wild price fluctuations. Long term wise fundementals still intact and it is also a subsidary of DBS Vickers Securities. If 0.47 cannot hold, next support is @ 0.39. Wish myself and all shareholders good luck!! Anyway there is still remaining 2.45 billion to be paid out in stages after that, subjected to fulfilment of conditions set out in the Joint-Venture agreement. Actually as a long term investor, I am more concerned with whether if the ex-CEO' s son is able to lead the company to greater heights. Even though a team of competent veterans is there to aid the current CEO, we do not know whether will there a form of power struggle or corruption in the future. Management wise, all these will affect the health and growth of a company. I still believe this company is a good long-term investment despite the heavy volatility in it' s share price and risks. Technically, Thursday' s sudden rally may be an act of pump and dump. I am not sure but I think I will just hold. AA and AE have a wide variety of uses globally and are used in the production of many other chemical derivatives. No doubt the company' s balance sheet looks weak, but I believe it is  the intangible value and potential of Sunvic which Arkema sees which is perhaps why this French giant is willing to pay such a hefty sum to acquire. Vested small small of 7 lots at 0.57 last week. If it sinks below 0.56 then i think i will just hold long term le. If is another scandalous S-chip then I can only accept the consequence of making a wrong investment.
