I think 80% chance of success vs 20% chance of failure ..

So the 8 cents ($1.30-$1.22) is to award you for holding for a few mths with a 20% risk of deal failure.

i believe he won' t dare to sue also cos if his lawyer send letter to EB then the case will alert public and everyone know that NOL manage business badly by then the team need to use their backside skin cover their face .......

In year of 1995 NOL drop to about $0.40 but no one accuse the CEO so this guy can still sue EB for misleading and damage his reputation because the current share price above $1.00 still better than some previous CEO....

Don' t know, every MNC companies under Temasek has their history and strong link with singapore success in past 50 years.

Selling any one of them is a failure and a shame to our first generation who build them.

Temasek shall bear in mind, any one of the companies are not supposed to lose competition from market because they were built from nothing and compete with the existing market at that time and grow stronger to become today NOL(Mr Goh from), Keppel, Semb, Capitaland or ST engineering (where ho ching from) and etc.

Today failure indirectly indicate the failure of singapore 2nd and 3rd generation not be able to compete with global market.

In 2008, NOL was planning to buy Hapag LLyod, in 2015, NOL was force sold to CMA. just a very short 7 years, NOL had chance to be the top 4, but in 2015 became top 13, just consider international liner, this rank is actually last few, after the replacement with CEO, Ng, thing just went worst and worst, every year has their cost cutting plan, every year making loss.

guys u assuming temasek would sell out nol at 1.30, think again if they wanna accept 1.30 earlier they reject 1.50. In addition ex ceo pointed out NOl is worth more than it book value as it did not mark to market valuation of it port terminal portfolio. Just dust off CMA by rejecting it outright before deadline save lot of grief on cpf investors. IF no buyer come up, just break up the group and exit contianer shipping best choice forward for everyone since rival liners trying to fish in trouble water. Temasek might come with last resort method lol, sell off port terminals to PSA then delist NOL game over lol. Money go from PSA pocket back to temasek pocket benefitting singpaorean who invest with cpf. Give a big special dividend after sale of port terminals to PSA then close shop with general offer at book value after deducting the dividend. i gona bet the offer price would be wat higher than CMA offer. CMA petty offer if confirmed i treated it as a insult to every singaporean, best to reject outright.

come on, please be realistic, NOL is still lose making for 4 years, even this year, next year, next next year will continue to make loss since their cost cutting plan is not working at all.

No deal mean what? back to 80, simply because of potential loss keep rolling.

So, if TH manage to sell NOL which is lose making around 1.1 to 1.3, please give applaud to them, they have done their best to sell NOL at best price already.

All the sign is pointing to a win by CMA after Temasek grant a exclusive bid of 2 weeks, maersk is offically out of the game outbid by CMA. CMA must had offered a price that meet temasek expectation and we know temasek is not going to sell cheap. THe way i see it is the price had already been agreed on that why TH give the exclusive right, now CMA need to secure banks loan for the purchase by doing due diligence on NOL assets. Guys this is a asset sale big big one, since NOL is clean on account and no asset inflation seen. Would really like CMA to disclose the official price soon but think gonna wait 2 more weeks till 8 dec.
