The old has gone, the new has come.
After the global downturn that the semiconductor industry was mired in last year, 2014 looks set to be a rosier year for this cyclical sector, amid regained confidence that better global demand will bolster manufacturing in Singapore.
Signs are indicating that the world economy is on a growth path. The International Monetary Fund has said that it would revise upward its global economic growth forecast of 3.6 per cent in 2014, compared to 2.9 per cent in 2013.
"There is usually a strong correlation between global GDP and the integrated circuit (IC) market," Infineon Technologies Asia-Pacific president and managing director Andrew Chong told BT. "In the scenario that the global GDP would grow by 3.5 per cent in the following three years, gross output of the global IC market would grow about 10 per cent."

Look at the volumes, 11300K.
Simply mind boggling  for the share which was considered illiquid in the not-too-distant past!

A Monster Of a Bargain
Frencken, a high-tech contract manufacturer, is now a monster of a bargain owing to previous missteps that we think are a now thing of the past.
Given its:
i) turnaround,
ii) future growth catalysts,
iii) diversified blue chip clients, and
iv) attractive dividend yield, we believe this 60- year-old firm is primed for growth.
Initiate coverage with a BUY and SGD0.45 TP, based on 9x FY14F P/E.

Good going, stock is up with higher volumes.
Finally this stock has broken past its resistance zone of 27-28 cents. Technically poised to go much higher. Coming quarterly results which are expected to be good, will push it into higher orbit.
In the stock market everything is possible. On a day when general sentiments are bad, you may get this stock 2 cents cheaper.

Hope it drop a little so that I can collect something after getting bonus.
The rock solid performance of the stock on the bourses  for the past six weeks suggests, that spurt may come in run up to the Q4 results!
Need to wait the 4Q report and then up.
For the past 6 weeks this stock has seen a lot of consolidation between 27 and 28 Cents. Once it breaks out of this range it will most probably go to 35 Cents. Fundamentally also this company is doing well this year. So I expect the Frencken to declare decent dividend.
Frencken volume surged. Watch it to fly next week.
I am not sure but the market is expecting US is postponing to quit the QE policy so interest rate should remain stable right?
Normally how much the debt ratio is healthy?
Think ceo is giving some.talk at uobkh seminar..maybe can ask him why loan so high..it is all the same...what happen if interest rate shoot.up...right issues.or.placement?
