International Cement Group reports FY2022 earnings of $28.9 mil, 10% higher y-o-y
International Cement Group KUO 0.00% has reported earnings of $17.9 million for the 2HFY2022 ended Dec 31, 2022, 34% higher than earnings of $13.3 million in the 2HFY2021.
This brings the group&rsquo s earnings for the FY2022 to $28.9 million, 10% higher y-o-y. Excluding foreign exchange (forex) losses due to the &ldquo major movements&rdquo of the Kazakhstani tenge (KZT), against the US dollar and the Chinese renminbi, the group&rsquo s earnings would&rsquo ve been at $34.5 million, 22% higher y-o-y.
Group revenue for the FY2022 increased by 24% y-o-y to $225.2 million as both the group&rsquo s cement and aluminium segments grew. Revenue from the cement segment grew due to the higher cement sales volume and selling price from the Alacem cement plant in Kazakhstan&rsquo s Almaty region. The higher revenue from the group&rsquo s aluminium segment was due to the higher construction activities in Singapore following the easing of Covid-19 restrictions.
As at Dec 31, 2022, cash and cash equivalents stood at $11.5 million.
Earnings per share (EPS) for the 2HFY2022 and FY2022 stood at 0.31 cents and 0.50 cents on a fully diluted basis respectively.
No dividend has been declared for the period.
&ldquo The investments and acquisitions made in our cement business for the past years have provided a firm foundation for the group, and we are well-positioned to capitalise on the vast opportunities in the Central Asia region,&rdquo says the group&rsquo s CEO Zhang Zengtao.
&ldquo We will continue to focus on growing our presence and gaining market share in Central Asia while keeping an eye on our margins and sales volume to create more sustainable growth and stronger profitability in the coming years,&rdquo he adds.
One of the most relaxed BB amongst those counters, like Mun Siong, H2G, AnAn. Daily volume zero or abit...ONS day fter day... go up abit and then come down to same Opening Price and lower, then hibernate. Sigh!

Solid steady performance, just like in previous years, with growth and improvement.
But is this stock going to move? Or gets stuck in its current lows? Haha, what can I say about BBs

So what even if its NTA is $0.040, and even it is a profitable company, year after year posting respectable or record profits even in the tough Covid situation, BBs are weak lah, no power to even push it to 0.028?

Company has healthy finances for past number of years, reporting respectable profits even during tough Covid pandemic, yet BBs like to play more with other loss making companies with persistent loss making numbers?

Haha, volume being topped up at sell queue again this morning?.needs a big determination and persistence by BBs before this stock can move convincingly?..Is this really the start of price gain indicated by the increase in trade volume yesterday, or is it just a trap as it would conversely means more are selling? Haha, the buy BB vs the sell BB?..

BBs put up a big fat queue at 0.023, ensuring most of the transactions of the day done at 0.024, but there appears to be no end in topping up to sell at 0.024 once the sell queue starts to thin, and this gets repeated. And now the buy queue becomes half the original quantity.
Is this a trap to lure you in? Haha, this counter?s BB really only want to do you in? No power or not enough money to really do a run?.really haha

When the general market dived in Aug & Sep 2022 on fears of inflation and rising interest rates, this stock was at price range of 0.026-0.028 before the plunge. Today, the general market has mostly recovered to price level before the plunge and even exceeded it, this joker is still at 0.023. Haha, really deserves laughter of its own kind?
