Used to be hyflux shareholders... but sold off their stake.. And hyflux shareholders begging Temasek to come back to be their shareholders and rescue them, but govt says cannot..

hmm... u may be surprised that the share price may go up instead becos now the temasek deal is almost a done deal liao..
U see how hyflux shareholders/bondholders suffer .. think u better treasure the chance of Temasek willing to lend support to sembmarine..

Who want the sinking ship? Hopefully it won' t be suspended forever like Hyflux.
Honestly if without the $2 billion lifeline support from parent company SCI. This company may not survive until now.

Precisely .... Imagine Temasek offers to help Hyflux.. many of hyflux shareholders/bond holders begging Temasek to help but in vain.
This one Temasek volunteer to help Semb Marine shareholders.. so the chance of semb marine shareholders agreeing and approving the deal is now almost done deal liao..

yes temasek underwrite all rights, but the whitewash must be approved. so ahgong effective shareholding can be from 29.9 to 58%.

With such large and accelerating losses, I doubt SCI shareholders would want to continue support SMM anymore. Sad.
The huge loss of semb marine maybe blessing in disguise ... now shareholders of Semb marine would most likely vote for the deal as $$$ and support from Temasek now seems very useful liao..

Or they will do another round of right issue, this time there will many new SCI shareholders.... will it happen

Temasek will not let the ship sink once it has pump in 600mil cash. I think it will work on back end for the two big marine sectors to be merged.

Temasek will not let the ship sink once it has pump in 600mil cash. I think it will work on back end for the two big marine sectors to be merged.

they receiving > $2billion to pay off their debt. Debt Ratio becomes 0.45 so that alone save alot of interest $$$.
Now they are venturing into other areas like green energy etc...
That why now the chance of semb marine shareholders voting for the deal is quite high liao
