There is no point recalling these 2025 events which has impacted much negatively on its 2025 earnings. While the 2025 results were described as "resilient" due to strong underlying performance, the negative factors (particularly forex and gas margins) are not just "one-off" events, but rather structural challenges that analysts expect to impact profitability well into 2026. 2026 will see some positive events such as Alinta Energy acquisition completion, IPO listing of Indian assets, high electricity price flowing into high margin since more than 90% gas supply has been secured at fixed price, more as pointed out which outweigh the negatively 2025 events. Old investors and heavy shortists, why looking backward to 2025 rather than looking forward to 2026?

What' s the point when currently the following to be noted
- Weakened Earnings: Net profit for 2H 2025 fell 5%, largely due to lower electricity pool prices in Singapore and a 2025 major outage at the Wilton 10 power station in Britain.
- Renewables Performance: Lower earnings from the China renewables portfolio due to oversupply, curtailment, and tariff adjustments.
- Foreign Exchange Headwinds: A 2025 weakening of the US Dollar and a $95 million forex impact on Indian assets hit earnings.
- High Expectations: The stock was previously priced for perfection, and the slowdown in earnings momentum resulted in a significant downward re-rating of the stock by investors.
Only for the younger investors to buy for long term and look forward for the best to come. Old investors don' t know whether can live until then for the harvest
