Why not just buy Tesla if you believe in EV?

Really? Arabs pumped in a lot of $$$ into Credit Suisse before it went down.

Nio is rallying because of better delivery numbers, and the Xpeng Volkswagen deal (mostly the latter). But I am not sure any other OEM would partner with Nio because their tech is lacking and battery swap is not compatible for most OEM cars. So I am not too optimistic about that.

I have switched all my Nio to Xpeng last month. I believe Xpeng has much more potential than Nio.

Money already committed to other more stable stocks.

Cannot too even if I want to, myself as a low-income Singaporean do not have huge cash-flow to really benefit from it especially since I am not the kind who would " short" or borrow to gamble in the stock market.   I am more of the invest long-term type.

Besides, it is traded in USD rather than S$ so I am in a disadvantaged position especially after a few days of rallies.

This stock too risky for my appetite it is like Ali-baba so it is not for me.

Incidentally BYD Seagull has not arrived in Singapore the other day I peaked into BYD showroom after attending SingPost AGM on my way to use the $15 vouchers.   I am more of an investor right now than a trader as I could not afford to not work and stare at the screen whole day long during regular working hours so made the decision to exit.   Most likely would not enter in the short-term due to cashflow constraint. You may be right before the EV market becomes more competitive, traders could still play a little.   Today Nio' s price went up by a lot.

Advise is there, believe or not is up to you. This stock is not meant for long term investing and close your eyes for 2 - 3 years after investing. For speculating , this is a great stock with high fluctuation.
