Thank you for sharing your facts and opinion. Obviously, Sg IPO activities down much this year.
After Grab- Singtel have won full digital banking licence, 4 analysts, MBKE, UOBkay, CIMB and DBS have raised the target price with buy call, ranging from $2.75 to $3.11 even though digital banking takes up to 5 years to be on high scale. 1st-2nd year see MAS's restriction to $50k deposit cap per customer until 3rd year or later the cap will be lifted by MAS. Full digital banking service can be extended to Asia according to CNA news. Just like traditonal banks like DBS, UOB expanded banking services overseas

SEA is a "Singapore" company run by China born CEO and backed by China's Tencent. It did not bother to have secondary listing in SGX though.
I wonder if Grab will consider a SGX listing even though it is a Singapore / Malaysia company. Or it will follow SEA and Razer to ignore SGX and head for NYSE or NASDAQ.
The lack of internet technology companies on SGX is why we are one (sadly) of the worst markets in the world. |

Which bro never unload 2.5x yesterday and then loaded more 2.51.. cry until no tears
"Singtel refers to the announcements by S&P Global Ratings dated 7 December 2020 (as attached).
Singtel and Optus? credit ratings are strong and we remain financially disciplined and committed to maintaining our investment-grade credit ratings."

This is the real reason why Singtel dropped. S&P spoiled the party by changing Singtel outlook to Negative due to higher debt-to-equity ratio. |

" Singapore" or not, Forest Li is Singaporean and obviously favored by Singapore Gov. SEA is the kind too big to fail already. Its a sure win for sure. even if it price correct 30 40 percent, its still so up. In actual fact, SEA is so far ahead of any singaporean company that its so dominating(including grab etc)
All I can say is that its better to put your money at the proven winner SEA then grab-singtel that is just trying to figure their way out.

If SGX is to get more noticed, it needs to attract more fintech companies to list. Off my head, we can include Silverlake Axis, Yoma Strategic (Myanmar wave money), Singtel (digital bank), iFast(?). Need more such companies to create a critical mass to attract institutions and it surely is in line with MAS vision of finance landscape for Singapore. It will also position us well to be South East Asia financial hub built on transparent regulations and strict governance / compliance.

| Singapore's first digital banks: 1) Question remains if Singtel can provide digital financial services outside Singapore, which can boost the value of the business. The potential is there, he added.
2) Singtel has a subscriber base of 4.3 million as of June 2020, while Grab has over 187 million users across South-east Asia.
3) Still, given the experience elsewhere in Asia, a successful digital full bank in Singapore might secure a market share of just 2 to 4 per cent in five years.
