The Only Shipbuilding Blue Chip in SGX!

I am expecting an influx of post war order for ships which bodes well for yangzijiang order book. My highest estimation is $8 this year as I see potential downturn in world's economies affected by the surging inflation and de-dolarisation of US.

How do u derive $6 and $9. Do share whether it' s TA or FA.

• Analysts (e.g. UOBKH, DBS)    maintain BUY calls  and raised target prices (S$4.55 ~ S$4.75)

👉 This is one of the biggest recent bullish drivers.

Trading idea
Once YZJ breakout from 416, can it reach 485 before going XD on 6 May?
Dividend yield of 4.87% based on share price of 410 is attractive (Payment of 20 cents per share is on 14 May)

 

YZJSB profit margin more than 25%, why Maritime will consider YZJSB if they can get a better price with compable product? No body know too.

 

No confirmation those VLCC given to it , profit from where ?

you might have a point here. Although I have a slughtly different understanding. One of the reasons why they were able to pickup this significant stake was becuase they are still a Singapore listed company. If they were HK listed I feel they might not have got the approval to pickup the stake. Although its absolutely correct that while listed in SGX they are probably listed at almost a 50%-60% discount than what they will get if they were  in HKEX. Who knows with the sgx-nasdaq tieup it  might be also be a possibilty for them to get access to the US investors and then it will be another story altogeher.

JAMMIE      ( Date: 14-Apr-2026 13:14) Posted: not even close to getting privatised especially with the recent investments both by the company and ceo. the BBs keep playing this stock becuase it has big swings and provides them with ample opportunities to pick up some trading money. as a smal linvestor if you have a 3-5 years horizon you will make money, just need to be patient and not watch the swings thatr keep happening. Long term it will go up and keep paying a dividend in the range of 4%-5% as it has clear revenue visibility till 2030. the  profits should also hold, and with the new shipyard coming online in second half of 2026, the capacity will go up and then they will get aggresive with more order wins. also YZJ is very choosy in their orders and focusses on  profitable business.
