Current price of 65% discount to book value also presents a VERY ATTRACTIVE opportunity for the Jardine Group to privatise HK land on the cheap. At stake here is a company with property assets of 38Billion USD. Jardine group already owns 50% of HK land. it would only cost them 9B to acquire another 19B worth of assets that generates a cashflow income of 800M USD annually.
Im not very concerned about the dividends. The capital gains from HK land alone can easily hit in excess of $1 USD. Mr Market is undervaluing the rest of HK land prime asset portfolio in Singapore, Thailand and China

One thing is for sure is that the impact of the rate cuts will show up on the balance sheet this year.

in that case , good chance the prics will move up from here...?
HK land doesnt do Quarterly reporting, but there will be a managment interim statement on the operations of the company middle of Nov. I would expect them to say that their investment income from their HK office portfolio has not been affected due to long term leases locked in since the start of the year.
WHEN will be THE RESULT OUT ?
I expect this FY underlying net Profit to be on par with last year or marginally higher if the profit recognition from the China and Thai JV can be booked into on time by next month. Dividend payout should be unchanged from last year at 16USD cents a share or 17 USD cents if the profit turns out much better than expected
As long as USD remains down, the winds favour HK Land
