Oops! My mistake. Dividend was paid "to" ASTI and not by ASTI. So question would be whether ASTI would pay out a portion as mentioned by forum members here.

The asti management can give valid reasons not give dividents. Many reasons can be given.
But the 8m is too attractive to ductok.

The dividend payout forms part of the SPA. Now that the deal has been completed, the dividend has to be paid.
