MIDAS SECURES HIGH-SPEED TRAIN CAR BODY COMPONENTS CONTRACTS WORTH RMB328.9 MILLION
- RMB185.4 million worth of orders awarded by CNR Changchun and RMB143.5 million worth of orders awarded by CNR Tangshan

Singapore & Hong Kong, May 18, 2015 &ndash Midas Holdings Limited (麦 达 斯 控 股 有 限 公 司 ) (" Midas" or the " Company" , together with its subsidiaries, the " Group" SGX-ST stock code: 5EN SEHK stock code: 1021) today announced that its subsidiary, Jilin Midas Aluminium Industries Co., Ltd (" Jilin Midas" ) has secured a series of contracts worth RMB328.9 million for the supply of high-speed train car body components in the People&rsquo s Republic of China (the " PRC" ).
The latest contracts include RMB185.4 million worth of orders from CNR Changchun Railway Vehicle Co., Ltd (中 国 北 车 长 春 轨 道 客 车 股 份 有 限 公 司 ) (" CNR Changchun" ), and RMB143.5 million worth of orders from CNR Tangshan Railway Vehicle Co., Ltd (中 国 北 车 唐 山 轨 道 客 车 股 份 有 限 公 司 ) (" CNR Tangshan" ), and will see Jilin Midas supply aluminium alloy extrusion profiles and certain fabricated parts for high-speed trains that will operate at speeds of up to 350km/h and 380km/h, respectively.

Slated for delivery in 2015, the contracts are expected to contribute positively to Midas&rsquo financial performance for the financial year ending December 31, 2015.

1Q15 results below estimates. Net profit fell 5.3% to Rmb10.9m on revenue of Rmb320.6m (+8%). Topline was largely led by higher revenue from the Aluminium Alloy Extruded Products Division (+7.8%), which contributed to 90.1% of total revenue, and was also key in improving overall gross margin to 28.8% from 24.0%. Bottom-line weighed by higher selling and distribution expenses (+20.1%), admin expenses (+20.2%) and finance costs (+53.2%). Associate contributions from Nanjin SR Puzhen Ralway fell 27.6% due to different project mix in the respective periods. NAV/share at Rmb2.49.
