thank you for the reply.
Hi, anybody knows when is the coming FR?
yup short term no chance. In fact if no bad news from Nigeria then it should go back to $2 range in time to come, but don' t know when. Just accumulate bit by bit when price trend down.

Not exactly.
The main reason for Olam Agri delay is working through Saudi IPO regulatory details. The main reason for OFI delay is IPO market conditions (UK in particular) of which geopolictics is a factor.
Anyone who follows UK markets will know FTSE100 is at all time highs, despite geopolitics. The strength of the IPO market is not analagous to the index but one can read something into it for sure. In that context an OFI IPO in 2025 seems reasonable.

So it bounce after briefly touching 1.07. Stick to plan. Queueing at 1.01 but likely unable to get any in the short term. It' s ok no need to accumulate aggressively at this stage.

1.08 almost lose ground but holding firm now. Immaterial, next collection points 1.01 - .995. Ang Moh houses selling, ABN, Merilyn and Goldman sold to me. Perhaps they knew something we don' t know. Hitting obstacle in the acquisition of Namoi Cotton?
heavy selling going on at 1.08
The drop today is close to 5% ....hmm any bad news ? Vol is heavy too
My 1.09 just filled. Now queuing at 1.01 with bigger tranche. 1.09 support seems strong but we never know.

I am cautiously optimistic but feel there is no need to accumulate aggressively at this stage. Happy to pick up sub 1.1 though so queuing for a small amount at 1.09 GTC so when hit, I will be notified and if bounce, that' s fine, if not, then can buy cheaper with bigger amount. Of course, in order to do this must have confidence that in the long run the stock will be up.

Unfortunately even the company don?t know for sure at this time. They are pushing for it but IPO date depends on many factors chiefly the market conditions. Personally I would just hold tight and be patient.

Olam tops Louis Dreyfus&rsquo offer for Australia&rsquo s Namoi Cotton as takeover battle heats up
Namoi&rsquo s largest shareholder Stam backs Olam&rsquo s new offer

ONE day after Dutch global commodity merchant Louis Dreyfus Company raised its takeover offer to A$0.67 per share for Namoi Cotton, Olam Agri has upped its bid to A$0.70 per share, heating up the tussle for Australia&rsquo s largest cotton ginner.

The new offer by Olam Group&rsquo s indirect 64.57 per cent-owned subsidiary would value Namoi at A$144.9 million (S$129.4 million), up from the rival bidder&rsquo s A$138.6 million.

Namoi&rsquo s largest shareholder Samuel Terry Asset Management, which holds a 25 per cent shareholding interest, declared its intention to accept Olam&rsquo s offer on Wednesday (May 8). It has so far backed offers by both bidders.

Shares of the Australian cotton-ginning company rose as much as 2.8 per cent to A$0.74, the highest since November 1999, after Louis Dreyfus upped its bid on Tuesday to be A$0.01 per share higher than Olam Agri&rsquo s A$0.66 per share offer last Thursday.

Olam Agri noted that the new A$0.70 offer price applies regardless of whether or not Olam obtains a relevant interest in at least 90 per cent of Namoi shares before the end of the offer period.

Last Thursday, Olam Agri sweetened its offer to A$0.66 per share, subject to obtaining an interest in at least 50.1 per cent of Namoi shares, and proposed to increase its offer value to A$0.70 per share if it obtains at least 90 per cent of Namoi shares before the end of the offer period.

The Olam&rsquo s majority-owned agri-business unit noted on Wednesday that the new offer conditions are otherwise the same limited ones as those announced last Thursday.

These conditions are:

&bull Olam having obtained a relevant interest in at least 50.1 per cent of the Namoi shares

&bull receipt of regulatory approvals from Foreign Investment Review Board and Australian Competition and Consumer Commission and

&bull no prescribed occurrences occurring in relation to Namoi before the end of the offer period.

This is the third time that Olam Agri has upped its ante in the takeover battle over Namoi that started in January.

While Olam Agri owns Namoi&rsquo s rival Queensland Cotton, gaining control over Australia&rsquo s largest cotton producer would help either bidder expand its already notable presence in the country, with access to Namoi&rsquo s ginning network and warehouses in New South Wales and Queensland.

Let?s try 1.25 for real this time.
The company has plenty of cash to buy back share!
