Try setting up a dormitory for foreign workers and see if there are barriers to entry. Singapore' s construction industry is slowing down due to the current oversupply of flats, but BTO constructions are still in progress and HDB has the responsibility to delivery them by the delivery possession dates,   which may well extend to 4 years from now. Up till then, foreign construction workers are still very much needed here. Not to mention the construction of the MRT lines that extend beyond 2020. If you want to sell just sell, but don' t spread false rumours here. These are facts here to stay in the long term.

Official Opening of Westlite Mandai Dormitory, on 18 April 2014
Key Extracts from Opening remarks by Mr Tan Chuan-Jin, Minister for Manpower
"Dormitories like Westlite Mandai play an important role for foreign workers here. Developments such as this complement the Singapore government?s efforts to ensure that the well-being of foreign workers is taken care of, and enable employers to fulfil their obligation to provide appropriate accommodation to these workers. We appreciate the foreign workers? contribution to Singapore?s continuing growth and development. It is only right that they are properly taken care of in the course of their employment here."
"In particular, by having facilities that cater not only to workers? basic living requirements, but also their social and recreational needs, dormitory developers and operators such as LianBeng and Centurion demonstrate that they shoulder a higher social mission."
"Thus, as we provide foreign workers with basic accommodation, we must not neglect their social and recreational needs. Westlite has done well in this respect ? the dormitory features good recreational facilities like a gym, games room and sports courts. And Westlite also organises social activities and events for residents on an on-going basis. I would encourage other dormitories, especially the larger, purpose-built ones, to also look into how they too can fulfil the needs of their foreign worker residents."
If you are worried about gahmen not renewing the lease, then gahmen will be striking their own feet with rocks.
This is an endorsement from our manpower minister.
Let's just watch what happens and stop creating a mirage of fear in this counter.

The gahmen leases are very short, like 3 years. What happens when leases expire and gahmen do not renew? Would the buildings become a gift to the gahmen or worse still, have to be torn down? And re-instated back to bare land? I don' t have the answers. Someone please kindly respond if he has the answer.
Read the CIMB research on Centurion and found it really interesting. Why only publish this after all brokerage houses called BUY? What is the ulterior motive of this CIMB report? Shouldn't the directors and substantial shareholders who are "in-the-know" be more informed on the direction of the business?
Sounds more like a conspiracy for buying in cheap.

I have observed in the past how the A team of Han and Loh works. They seldom rescue a dying stock. Like all those s-chips. Just let them die. Centurion is not an s-chip. Would be interesting to see what they do this time.
The nice stories about worker dormitory may end....but centurion may still able.to.enjoy good profit margin.from.local.dormitory.....just bbs stop.playing the.music.....centurion slowing come down ......

Wow, the dumping is so prolonged. Though so many analysts have BUY call of 90c to a dollar just days or a couple of weeks ago?
I dont have anymore positions in this stock since a few months ago. Good luck. The chart may have to run its course first.

Divested but remains in my watch list. Should it hit 55 cents - which I hope not for the sake of those vested - I will buy again.
Continue to throw. I' m still buying.

Closed below 60. Hmmmmm.....
Doubt so. With such low volume anything can happen. Especially with the completion of acquisition of UK accomodations. Past few days look like a deliberate attempt to bring the price down.
Selling pressure piling up, now that 60 support is broken.
Watch the 0.625 resistance. Once broken, potential breakout.
If close at or above 0.615 today, likely to see a rebound. I' m still hoping some more throw down to me at 0.6.
Teo Peng Kwang (the COO)  bought 661,000 shares at 0.625 on 28 Aug.
Teo bought another 1,000,000 shares at 0.625 on 29 Aug.
This brings his stake in the company up from 7.23% to 7.45%.
Student accomodation acquisition will be complete by today. We should see more profits coming in soon.
Wondering why the CEO never bought the shares when they were trading at 20 cents for almost 1.5 years. Now after Han ans Loh sold 5% to Lian Beng then CEO started buying shares at such an elevated price of 62 cents (but very very small quantity, rather meaningless). What message are they trying to send? And the barrier to entry for the workers dormitories is surprisingly low. And they also have to pray that the government renews their very short term lease like 3 years upon expiry.
Obviously the person who valued it at 0.42cents is only dividing the current share price by the Price-to-Book value, and not taking into account the future growth potential of this company.

You mean all those broking house analysts having a TP of around 90c to 1 dollar is dead wrong in their expert analysing, I think I see at least 3 large broking houses having such TP of above 90c
