with the government ban on e-scooters on all footpaths and roads, even the food delivery business is facing headwinds, not to mention competition and the fact that in phase 3, more ppl will be going out for meals

Grab is now begging it' s long term enemy Gojek to combine forces so it could get listed - the merger talks are in actual fact a laughing stock
Just pay Uber 2 billion dollars and go home

So how? Grab's founder Antony Tan will pack up and run back to Malaysia? Softbank will eun back to Japan? CDG will become World's No1 Taxi Company again?
justicebaogaliao ( Date: 17-Dec-2020 10:20) Posted:
Firstly, the ' revenue' u mentioned certainly doesn' t come from its ride hailing business which is loss making in the first place
Secondly, are u sure the other projects will be making good money for sure?? Many other banks will be issued digital banking license soon. Standard Chartered has already obtained one, and besides it already have a digital banking platform called MOX running in hongkong. Is Grab able to compete well without prior experience in this sector?

Firstly, Temasek invested in many companies and startups, some make money, some break even, some lose money.
All investment carry risks. Your investments all make money?
Secondly, when and how much did Temasek invest in Grab? Did Trmadek invest in the very first round only or in all the rounds or in the last round of funds raising only? And more importantly, how much, how many percent of the billions of funds raising is by Temasek? Hahaha.... Find out first, don't just copy from coffeeshop talk.

Even Temasek thought Grab is good and pumped your CPF money. Only the lao uncles in SJ think it is stupid.

I believe if Grab were to start off as fintech, it would have been listed by now.
8 years in business yet no profit made. Any primary school kid also can do this.
Maybe I can do better if I were given that amount of money to burn. Lol. |

Grab will make money the moment it stop expansion. Currently, revenue is spend on many other projects unrelated to ride-hailing.
But whether it earns money or lose is not important to us. What is important is it has caused taxis to drop from 28,000+ to 16,000+. Even the World's Biggest Taxi Company now wants to run down its fleets. Many uncles said it is better that it just rent out PHVs cheap cheap already can huat big |

| You are contradicting yourself, mate.
Firstly, you said that CDG is stupid to own PHVs.
Then when I (as well as other well-informed members here) verified that CDG indeed own PHVs, you countered by saying it is not making money and then said it is not reported. Mind you, CDG is a public-listed company, all its finances are made public, have you even bothered to find out? You don't, obviously.
Then you say anybody can set up a car rental company, yes that I agree, just as you also own a rental company, right? And if rental company is not making money, then may I humbly ask you, whey do you set up one as sidekick?
CDG's profit and loss are opened to public scrutiny, unlike Grab, who is so secretive on its finances but still can't escape the sharp eyes of public. Grab is burning money, everyone knows that.
With due respect, is it because CDG rental and taxi business is competing with your rental company that you keep talking bad about CDG?
Lol. |
