It is your prediction how the world is going to be in the coming next 2 years.
Pros of CDG
1) very strong cashflow, pays good dividends pre-COVID,
2) very prudent management,
3) government more or less support it as this company is obedient, haha,
4) deal with bread and butter common folks business, so sure got business,
Cons
1) old fashioned management, slow to change,
2) low profit margin especially in public transport, you can't make too much profit from tax payers money,
3) BB like to play this counter so don't be "fooled" by unrealistically high or low prices. A good range before COVID is $2.2 to $2.6, so when reach this price, please exit.

Conman, no need to crack your head on scrutinizing rental rates to support your shorts
CDG economies of scale will definitely ensure its rental rates are competitive enough for drivers not to rent from Grab and other ride hailing companies, that primarily focus more on privately owned cars doing part time p2p jobs.
You should be worrying about how Grab is going to profit from its already high rental rates and commission based car rental model.. is rental rate going to increase to become profitable?
i' m not even using this new scheme to compare bro
under the old rental rates, Grab rental is expensive considering the 20% commission charges on every   trip

Was this of any help? How manydrivers are on this scheme now?
BTW, your 105 is for Pirus or i40?

All your numbers and analysis are not correct
Original CDG taxi rate is 105 vs Grab 70
for car sharing, each CDG car rental per day is only 105
imagine car sharing Grab, assuming 2 drivers earn 300 a day, Grab rental per day = 70 + 20% x 300 =   130 bucks! If individual driver can earn 10000 a month, he will definitely rent CDG

About PHV, it is wrong to talk about rental because the drivers have alternative whether to rent or buy their cars. If they want to rent, they can choose from many rental companies. They can also use hourly rental cars like Triibe to do the jpbs. But taxis cannot be bought and owned by taxi drivers so they have no choice but to rent.
If you still want to compare, ok, we take Toyota Pirus which is ommon to both. CDG Taxis was $125, Grab $70.
Taxis are on 7 year COE on a pro-rated rate. The 8th year is subject to application and approval. For the Pirus at $125 a day, two years is $91,250. Taxi companies buy taxis by the thousands with delivery spanned over many years hence the price can be very cheap, probably 30% lower than what we pay. Once the 2 years is up, the rest of the 5 year will be pure profits. And there is no problem paying for those items you mention.
Dont forget also that all taxi companies maintain and repair their cats themselves and keep their costs very low by their own ways. Accident claims is also a big revenue because of this. If the commerciL insirNce companies and car workshop can make money, CDG with thoudands of taxi can make mote.
Then, dont forget taxi body afvertisments, fuel sale, etc.
This is why I said taxi is a very lucrative bisiness in Singapore.

I totally agree with you. CDG is being competitive here.

LOL i had said this many times already but the argument is still Comfort is dying, Comfort is a zombie etc... One will only see this if he/she uses the apps extensively themselves.
I' m vested in this stock but i can fairly say i compare all rates before deciding to go with one. Comfort these days are def more competitive with their rates, esp the flat rates. Sometimes the metered ones show a cheaper range (hey at least i get a metered option). Grab has significantly lost out in the fares, Gojek is usually cheaper. I still use all 3 interchangeably cos i still hunt for the cheapest rates. 2 years ago i won' t even bother looking at Comfort they were never the cheapest option. Times have changed and Comfort is a real contender for cheaper rates.

Not sure if you all know this or not.
If you go to Comfort app, you can choose Fixed rates fares also, just like PHV.
Now, the next questions will be, whether it is cheaper than PHV or Comfort meter fare?    Well answer is its depends.  From my experience, normally, during non peak hours, Comfort fixed rates fares is cheaper than Grab, Tada, GoJek or Comfort meter fare.  But I must say that I normally take from my home located in the RCR.    For CCR or ORC, then I can' t comment.
Dun believe, try the Comfort app and compare to the PHVs options, choose the cheapest option.
FYI I do not own any Comfort shares at this point in time.

Don't forget road tax, insurance, servicing and repair, and taxi licence charged by LTA are. all paid by CDG. And don't forget taxis need to be scrapped by 8 years.
If you compare taxi rental and PHV rental, they're comparable as PHV needs to pay 20% commission, where taxi only pays $0.30/call. Street pick is commission free. |

The source of this evil is the exorbitant rental charged by Zom Bee. Its rental is calculated based on capital recovery in less than 2 years.
High rental means two or more drivers have to share out the costs if they dont want to drive for at least 15 hours everyday and say good bye in the taxis before the due date. So even the roof-top taxi sign is programmed to display the 'Change Shift' sign.
So when ot is legitimate, taxi drivers make full use of the change'shift sign to chut pattern. When the riders have no choice, they cant do anything but just to grumble.
Now that there are 72,6000 PHVs standing-by everywhere to take the jobs, CDG gets the back-blast from its own exorbitant rental. Riders saw the alternative and run. Drivers lost customers also run. Taxi numbers dropped, shares dropped. How |

Your assumptions as always are wrong again...
Taxi rental is fixed compared to Grab which charges a monthly base amount plus it charges a percentage of the fare for each trip.
This means that the more trips hardworking drivers take up, the higher their rental becomes
Hence full time drivers will always rent from CDG taxis
