Agreed. for now Shortlist cannot make money easy as BBs or Temasek already locked up all the short CFD. If one sell or short naked , you are forced to cover end of day . Naked sell position exposed is like playing poker with BBs.with your cards open.
Those wishing to buy above this price are few as they would have bought the rights last few days. Others wishing to buy are only those who waiting to buy at lower prices and definately not at $4.
So unless the COVID scene changes overnite, SIA til 8 june is just alot of bear traps. Quick spike in price to draw the bear in and toasting them end of day.

Rights are at 3:2 ratio.This mean 60% of SIA shares are locked up till june 8.
We have the biggest investor at 55% who undetake to buy all the unsubscribed Rights and MCB.
We have Die hard loyal investor ,who would just pick up the rights.These guys could have already loanout their shares to the shortist.
The " Clever" investor will have sold their mother SIA shares and bought the rights as there are arbitrage premium.Again these shares are creditted back only on June 8.
Investor55% wll have at least ,probably more than 22% of this shares in the market ...leaving 18% ..Owner 55% will protect his turf.
If above is true ...Going forward ,trading will mostly be on the BUY side until june 8.

Please check my trading analysis and hopefully my trading plan going forward.
28 may - last date to make use of the SIA rights
8 jun. - new shares starts trading.
Meaning
1) those who holds the SIA rights intending to exercise are stuck with SIA shares from now until 8 jun.
2) Also if they have change of mind or need hedging they can only short SIA shares every day in the morning and buy it back in the day close.
3) Those wishing to buy will likely hold back until after window 8 jun when the total flood of SIA shares hit the market..
If above is true.. Going forward trading will mostly on the sell side until 8 jun

when the new shares from right issues are credited into investment accounts, there should be a wave of selling if share price is good say $4.
' profit' is 1000$ per 1000shares.
so barring unforeseen black swan , i think the up side should be limited.

My thoughts
Buyers and investors should sit tight and wait for the share to be diluted and the billions of rights money successfully completed before buying. What is the hurry? the covid is not going away in 2 weeks.
Sellers tempted to short should be careful as the BB and Temasek are watching like a hawk. they will want to punish Shortist as the SIA rights will fail is shares dropped below $3. Plenty of bear traps are laid every day. But having say that Temasek will not want to buy any more shares than what she already overcommited.
1. Short only when price spike up
2. Do not chase a falling price. likely you will be squeezed at end of day.

SIA 380 last call for boarding passengers
may not be la... yesterday so many claimed that the right shares will shoot beyond 60 cents . it didnt even go near to it LOL.
So todayis rise is temporary and may not be well supported unless there is big positive news.
Temasek likely have to eat more of the shares since the right shares reflect poorly on the attractveness of the mother shares now... sianz but look forward in 1-2 years time okay.

Nothing has changed from the ex right price of $4.18 to $3.68. Price dropped because of rights /mother shares arbitraging. So witht he rigths out of picture, the share should trend back up again before the new shares comes out around 8 June 2020 :)
