Centurion can reduce its  debts gearing by selling those joint ventures dorms with Lian Beng to Lian Beng or to work out somethings to benefit Centurion since now LB is having HDB big project for the next few years....

More workers and dorms for Centurion at least for the next  few years as  LB  HDB  projects require lots of workers mah.....as both are  abang adik, they sure can work out something for Centurion...else  why joint venture in dorms etc...

Tough business. Now the main 2 sources labourers are construction and shipbuilding are in downtrend mood. Gov lose their income from labour tax and Also postpone the extra tax. All these reflecting dormitory outlook not so good.
Further more, why those factory need dormitory because in the past they built dormitory inside the factory. Because economic good, they have to use the space and rent dormitory. But if economic no good, they will rebuild own dormitory in own factory.
So at the end who go dormitory oh?. Tough tough. Reality fight with good prospects.

URA tend to give very very short lease for dorms, because I think government has other plans for the land use.

Talking Competitors   are gone , new comer like Wee Hur' s Tuas Souh 3+3 Years Lease for O & G sector , what happen after 6 yeras , JTC will take back the land ? I saw Kim Chuan Site the former dormitory land is gone.
 
Has to follow PUB waste water treatment program in Tuas. Lots of things happening like the DTSS phase 2 which might need to use the Tuas space.

Competitors gone is very good for Centurion....Centurion' s revenue is not just depending on SIngapore' s workers' dorms alone...it' s in other countries as well and into students' housing and looking into nurshing home (low or high ends....) ...lots of potential....
The contructions of new MRT lines and other govt projects (budget 2017)  will continue to  have demands for foreign workers....its the least worry that investors in this stock should have...i forsee strong rebound tomorrow morning after 4 sessions of downs....buy on weakness....

Dormitories will still be in demand for the next 10 years still. With the high speed rail, A lot of foreign manpower will be required and thus demand will be there.
May be GLC should just buy over Centurion at a premium and dont have to reinvent the wheel....good for all those vested in this company....no body will complaint as long as the price is fair for all to exit....nothing is impossible for stock market...

And recently, Temasek and GIC are both very big in overseas students accomdation, which is another major overlap with Centurion. Centurion is very small because of capital constraints.
