In November 2013, Singapore Airlines' systemwide passenger carriage declined 0.4% while capacity increased 0.5%. Consequently, passenger load factor declined 0.7 percentage points to 77.0%. Overall cargo traffic was 2.1% lower year-on-year, while cargo capacity increased by 1.4%. Consequently, cargo load factor decreased by 2.3 percentage points. Load factors were lower on all route regions except for East Asia, where the capacity increase was more closely matched to demand...

StanChart expects higher global GDP growth in 2014 coupled with stronger Asia exports, which should support the continued recovery of global business travel. However, in Singapore, LCC competition is not easing and SIA?s passenger yield on short-haul routes is expected to continually being pressured in the short run. At the same time, SIA might lose market share to Middle Eastern carriers on its profitable premium class Kangaroo routes, and the house expects SIA could find it difficult to boost premium passenger yield. Despite the expected demand recovery, SIA faces its own headwinds and yield and profits is expected to recover later than Cathay?s given the former faces greater competition from Middle Eastern carriers and LCCs. StanChart upgrades SIA to in-line (from U/PF) with target price of $11.00 (from $10.80)

11/29 Last 10.46 ( -0.07 from 10.6, -0.66% )  

But I don't know why I got a feeling that SIA might drop to 9.7+

  Fortunately for me, GAR remained steady at 0.575

Fullerton Fund Management Co., owned by Singapore?s Temasek Holdings, bought a stake in Indian film distributor Eros International Plc, gaining a foothold in the local movie industry known as Bollywood. Temasek purchased a stake through one of its units on Nov. 13, the day Mumbai-based Eros began trading on the New York Stock Exchange, according to a Nov. 25 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Fullerton now holds 8.7% in Eros, valuing the stake at about $22 million ($28 million), according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Reiterate current TP: $11.20. Pay less attention to the negative news in the industry. India present a big opportunity plus TATA the white knight. SIA is SAVED for sure. Nevertheless, it still take some times for SIA to reap the intangible benefit by working with TATA.

The longest flight in the world and that is going to touchdown for the last time this weekend Singapore Airlines doing away with its iconic.

Non stop all business class service to New York, the flight which shuttles passengers between Chang between the -- for Cheney. And within eighteen and a half hours of being dropped because the industry -- struggling with high fuel prices and weak demand for premium travel and this is sad because it is the quickest way to get from. Singapore to New York.

They obviously try to -- premium over the net that the services that have one -- two stops. But I guess the yield just -- high enough to get to offset those higher operating cost as you say the top ten day it's not even place. Throughout making the kind of money that would make it financially viable.
