Ok, noted.  SIA today gained 1 cent, seems to have been able to move back after dropping so much.
Just observing, not vested, neither long nor short.

This is my opinion. I believe it will fall a little further. Ebola is going to cause some worry worldwide especially one victim travelled (flew)  widely within Africa. They have to trace everyone sitting near him   or has been in contact with him. This disease is deadly .....so many ways it can spread. i bought 3 lots ranging from 9.98 to 10. Now i' m just waiting for WHO to see if they  place an  advisory on air travel. So not buying anymore as yet. Just like SARS stock tanked and then recovered. But this time i' m a little cautious. Next Div will be around  NOV so sit tight and buy on dips. $10 000 in a bank gives you enough money to buy kacang putih at the movies.......with div you can buy the ticket as well. Good luck to all.
Short strategy meaning you sell SIA in anticipation the price of the co. will drop further.
You can short using CFDs and hold the short for as long as you want.
This is what I will do if Ebola is present in Asia.

bro, is it time to switch to the other side.
Is there  a chance for SIA to dip down.  And if so, a short strategy is appropriate.    You follow all the news an know all, therefore you view is important.

It is better to under-promise and over-delivered than to over-promise and under-delivered.

Oil high, air fare up.............. nobody fly. That is how it goes. June is considered their peak period but they still don' t sound optimistic. Too many holes to plug.  India JV has yet to take off ............that only means that they will have to fork out cash to get if off the ground.  That being said any price below $10 is a buy for me. i see big boys are nibbling.
Vested but not to much!!

brand or not, if too expensive, passenger will strill go other airlines.
I think SIA can do better   than Singtel when it comes to F1 event. I think they are using the F1 event   to strengthen their brand further.

Quite tough at all front
Four holes to plug.......
1. F1
2. India. While good,,,,,,,, short term expenses set to increase just with any new start up.
3.Tiger restructuring
4.Business class refurbishment.
Sigh!   More downside near term. IMHO might go below 10 again.
