I do hope they will not do any rights issue. better either give bonus shares or just split the share for maritime and FH 1 to 1.

good news is ETL is approved and we can look forward to their next announcement down the road which i hope will be soon

with the deferment of port fees on Chinese built vessels for a year,
the hurdles to YZJ shipbuilding has been cleared. this augurs well
for the spinoff annoucement on 25th November

 

Xi and Trump had met and now Trump already flying back to Washginton. Market is not enthusiatic about the outcome and sound bites by both sides thus far. Personally I also think everything is still remain as talks. No signing of any deals and no concrete statements on easing of the tariffs, sanctions, port fees for Chinese ships etc. Meanwhile the spin off processes seems to have slowed down. Until now, there is no announcement of receving ETL or update on the spin off development by the management. If they are waiting and hoping for positive spin on the outcome of Xi Trump meeting now they can forget it. Why such a rush to convene EGM if after that a whole month there is nothing happen?

 

Few more days to Nov, soon spin off news will be out.

If the short windows close the price may go back up again. If they time it correctly with spin off or good news on financial results it could hit 1.2 again or higher. After spin off I see both spin off will do well. Long term will be good. IFast also posted good news today. I expect yzjfh to do well. But Dyodd as market swing can happen follow market volatility with USA and China trade war

during jun usd and cny versus sgd has changed. sgd has lost value by 1.57-2%+
so nav in sgd term will be more then sgd1.11 due to exchange changes.
waiting for potential quaterly report.
shan shan bid face some challenges from people who when shan shan not so good time the term no favourable so objected by sellers. now good time they said they got kick out. want back,
think ren can negotiate it out. if shan shan fall below bid price, it will help deal go thru.

Price actions showing obvious weakness, unlikely to see any improvement until China US finish their talk in late October and provided that the result of the talk is minimum neutral or positive. Currently could be in passive consolidation and spin off must be put on hold till the uncertaintiy is clear which should be into November now. If price drop below $1 it will test the resolve of long term holders, with conviction, it can be seen as opportunities to accumulate but when sentiment turn negative it would be hard to put more money into it. Having said so, some of us here are well trained having going through the seemingly forever $0.285 to $0.345 price period but to accumulate at $0.285 to $0.345 and at $1 is not the same. If want to hold post spin off, personally I think it is better to stand by some cash. 

 

I will upsize more if it goes down to SGD 1.0. Not sure if it will hit this level bfr spin off. Maybe I just blindly think of it.

Yes, and they have not announce anything with regard to it yet. Based on Centurion' s case, they announced receipt of ETL for their reit and in about a week time or 2 the reit was listed if I remember correctly. I think YZJF may now drag the spin off for as long as possible, given the US-China trade dispute and the 2 leaders are meeting in 2 weeks time. It would be unthinkable, not say it is impossible, that the spin off now cannot proceed as YZJF has scale big enough to be in the STI reserve list. Even if somehow the spin off is off, it does not change the inherent value of the stock which at current stand at $1.11 using NAV. Sure the price will correct big if spin off is not proceeding but it would not be the end of the day.

guess shan shan in the short term will be range bound slightly above the buy price of 11.44
any work to make shan shan a wonder again will take some time. potential is back to 44+ in oct 21.

why i guess like that. battery was over capacity some time ago. now overcapacity is reducing and turning due to additional demand from more ev cars and green energy storage demand as number of wind and solar energy farm increased.
next is ev ship.
cosco green water 1 show that full electric works. it is a river to sea full electric. dwt 10k. large battery 50000 kWh. think to go long journey will have to be hybrid gas engine to change battery system. wartsila already has a HY hybrid marine system.
point is battery demand is going up 1 level from new demand.
now after following ren for a while he always work a few steps ahead. think he might have already link up with battery maker for new demand of material from shan shan. 
so shan shan potential to up 3x ie 1.02b cny will become cny 3b in time,
