OCbC is priced more than 1/3 of DBS so equates to an equivalent almost 120c dividend for equivalent cost of share    I can buy 3 OCBC for each DBS ,

Ocbc probably might swing a surprise today with its share price moving up whereas its 2 bigger bros share prices tumbled after releasing FY results...

Dividend increased from 28 cents to 40 cents. Which bank has the best results? DBS > OCBC > UOB ?

UOB at 1.35 and assume even $30  yield is still a cool 4.5% ( which I wld use 1.50 as 75cX2 times a yr) ...then it rise more  FOR ocbc , I estimate 32c ( plus 1H 28c is 60c) ...so worst case is still good yield 4.7% ...BUT IF they give a special of 10c ....wow it can jump back  Yes OCBC dont give special dividend under old CEO , let see if Helen change the game . OCBC buys back their shares on a regular basis , to be used as Employee Stock Options / Share scheme . However the volume is small when compared to daily turnover .

I think they are not allowed to purchase one month ( or is it 2 weeks )  before the announcement of results thats why we dont see it for quite some time now , maybe they will resume the buyback after the results tomorrow . 

 

 

OCBC has been buying back its shares like no tomorrrow - OCBC must know it' s own results !

Concern is ppl reaction if NO special bonus is given out ....EVEN w a good set of result .
Seem like ppl are all expecting more dividend since DBS started it .
