Because one of the research house (CIMB, I think) upgrade SATs to buy in, on the expectation that the increase in flight traffic would increase SATs revenue.
But there are obviously good (in fact very strong) reason why UOB downgraded the share. Go find out for yourselves. A hint here: Go do an informal talk with some of its staff, treat them to some kopi or something.
I have not taken any position on this counter.

Hi, anybody know what cause SATS increase quite fast?
I cannot find any latest news.
What happen with this stock? Any goodnews or just window dressing?

Why SATS shoot up much these days? Going to give special or lot of dividends? :)
UOB Kay Hian says Sell with a TP of $2.40 but price shot up on the same day ! Such ridiculous analysis by Kay Hian ! Can trust what they say?

SATS seems in down trend after ex div of $210.
now at $ 2.48.
at wat price can buy again??
i got this counters for many years le din even bother to see how much profit liao. this is a good counter to hold long long.
but dividend of 21cents had driven price up by abt 20 cents since 14/5 announcement not to mention it actually move from 2.45 when analysis tok abt good performance may result in good dividend way back in Feb. so........
make ur judgement how much it will drop on ex 31/7 (FOMC's period).
however if u die die wanna long this then dont bother but those that buy after announcement 14/5 r speculators that will dump on ex....hardcore supporters bought n nv sell.....cheers
