If you are referring to the MSCI Singapore index that was announced in May and happened on the 31 May. Typically the negative effect that has on the share price would be between the announcement date and the date the exit happens. Since the exit has already happened I would not expect any ongoing impact post the end of May.

They got booted out of the MSCI index. Expect it to drop like a brick further for the forseeable future.

Just look@ this stock how it's going....
I'm glad they did, but it did not help JMH share price much. So if JMH wants to acquire more of a profitable JCC, as a shareholder I'm not gonna protest, especially at these daily prices.

Do not live in the past. After JMH acquired JS, everything is straight forward. Nothing confusing.

Not disputing they cannot.
The Jardine Group is very complex with C& C, Strategic and Metheson.
How and Why they want to hold shares in each other is beyond me.
Only thing I understand is that if JCC is profitable, JMH will add to their holdings.
That is very normal. Privatisation or not is pure speculation.

JMH bought another 445lots for $12m. They can take C&C private on the cheap, why not? They clearly has that financial power. The PE before covid was between 12-14. Now, it is only 6.5!

Jardine have form in taking their listed subsidaries private. They certainly have lots of cash and this company is undervalued. But it is difficult to time.
No, just a bigger stake because it is contributing to Jardine profits
JMH conducted share buyback for some 4,700,000 shares which costed more than $122m, bringing it stake over 81%. Is delisting on the card?

Good company. Buy
Meanwhile Jardine continues to buy more shares as well.
Jardine Cycle & Carriage
Between May 27 and 28, Jardine Cycle & Carriage group finance director Amy Hsu purchased 10,000 shares at an average price of S$27.43 per share. This was her first acquisition via a market transaction since she was appointed to the position in August 2022. Hsu oversees the group&rsquo s portfolio investments and leads financial strategy and planning, treasury, tax, risk management and investor relations.

On Apr 29, Jardine Cycle & Carriage released an interim management statement for its Q1FY24 (ended Mar 31). The group maintains 50.1 per cent ownership of prominent Indonesian group, Astra, which contributed 93 per cent to its FY23 revenue.

For Q1FY24, Astra&rsquo s financial overview indicated a mixed performance across its divisions with a 5 per cent decline in underlying profit, excluding fair value adjustments from its equity investments. Its car and motorcycle sales declined due to subdued economic conditions.

The financial services division saw an uptick in earnings thanks to an expanded loan portfolio. The agri-business division was supported by increased crude palm oil sales, while the infrastructure and logistics division also reported higher earnings from greater toll revenue.

The heavy equipment and mining division faced a downturn because of falling coal prices. Jardine Cycle & Carriage maintains a diverse portfolio in South-east Asia, extending beyond its interests in Astra. Its regional interests include investments in Vietnam&rsquo s automotive leader Thaco, power and utility specialist REE, regional cement provider Siam City Cement, and dairy producer Vinamilk.

Additionally, the group has a presence in the automotive retail sector with dealerships in Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Indonesia through Tunas Ridean.

In response to an AGM question, Jardine C& C clarified that it bought the entire US$350m convertible bond that Truong Hai issued last year. That' s a sizable position.
😀 😀 strategic moves.
