Sudden volume. Anything to do with their appeal to SGX for extension of time to meet listing requirements?

I believe sgx will grant, especially now that Jad is decisively profitable in fy16. Jad has been listed for almost 17 years in the sgx since 2000 and has a track record of paying very good dividends until the original founders died some years ago and the business started to incur losses due to the downturn of the pcb industry in recent years and then finally the shocking mega write-off in 2015. If the recovery pace can sustain even at the fy16 revenue without growth, Jad can likely register a PBT of $1.2-1.5mil per quarter or a PBT ~$4.8-6.0mil in fy17 ( based on its 3Q16 and fy16 P& L releases ).
BTW, Liao Hin Hiao is a also top 20 major shareholders in Sunningdale (rank 7th) listed in their latest annual report.

Insiders buying over the past weeks. Only issue is company have hit the 2 year watch list time frame and awaiting SGX' s response to extend for a further 1 year. Business is actually profitable but SGX has been pretty unpredictable in granting extension.
Likely to fly if extension granted otherwise pretty risky
