Nearly sold at 34c yesterday. Lucky did not sell, with eps of 29 27, and NAV of $1 25, no way to sell at that price!

anyone knows the history behind IPC pertaining to its interest in nest hotel? i saw in announcement in 2016 that there is a capital reduction after a divestment of their nest hotels.. then today they announce that there is a fair value gain from the preferred shares in nest.. i thought they had already divested the hotels and so what is it with these preference shares in nest? anyone knows how IPC earn their income? is it via hotel rental?

Really a dirty game.........with influential people in key positions exploiting loopholes in the system. It tells the standards of our local bourse for not/refusing to nail this loophole.

Stick to blue chips if you guys want a more level playing field, not 100% fair, but very much more even than some of these scam penny stocks. Take care of yourself, SGX is not going to babysit you.

SINGAPORE (Feb 1): Asia-Pacific Strategic Investments is making a move to acquire IPC Corporation to enlarge its property development business.

APSI on Monday entered into a conditional letter of offer to acquire shares in IPC from existing shareholders.

They are asset trader Oei Hong Leong and Chairman and CEO Patrick Ngiam Mia Je and his brothers.

If the acquisition goes through, APSI will own a 46.91% interest in IPC, which will trigger a mandatory unconditional offer for IPC under Singapore' s takeover code.

Oei currently holds 28.1 million IPC shares representing a 32.96% stake while CEO Ngiam and his brothers collectively owns 11.9 million shares representing a 13.95% stake.

APSI plans to issue 133 new shares to pay for each IPC share.

On on Jan 26, each APSI share last trading at 0.4 cent while each IPC share was trading at 41.5 cents each.

At 53.2 cents for 133 APSI shares, the offer represents a premium of 28.2% for each IPC share.

IPC was incorporated in 1985 and has been listed on the Mainboard of the SGX since 1993. Its businesses include property investment and development as well as investment holding.

In 2008 and 2009, the group expanded its property business, from a pure property developer and beyond China.

IPC on Oct 12, 2017, in a general meeting approved the acquisition of 72% stake in Huzhou Agriculture Co. and Huzhou Culture Co. in China. These acquisitions were completed on Nov 16, 2017.
