Maybe there is a portfolio adjustment by fund houses after some stocks like SCI, CDG and SPH were dropped from MSCI' s index.

Some funds go into Sheng Siong at last Friday closing.
Is this an indication that SS is much better than SCI and SPH or even CDG at current situation and 6 months forward?

Today in final minutes suddenly surge. Could it be because those funds leaving the 4 counters (SPH, Comfort Delgro, etc) are entering?
Definitely that report by RHB played some part in jacking the price up....
will be at current price until it reports its 2Q results

even the 2nd quarter results are fantastic again, the long term look and sector is not going to support the current P/E, the only possibility for it to hold its current price will be the lack of options putting funds elsewhere, cause at least shengsiong is not making lost...

The results announced was for the 1st quarter (Jan-Mar), and the circuit breaker was implemented in Apr. Thus his earnings results only reflected pre-circuit breaker sales, and back then people could still dine outside.
But if you factor in circuit breaker, his next results which will be for 2nd quarter (April - June), theoretically SS earnings will be even better because all must either:
A) Go out and Takeaway,
B) Order delivery,
C) Cook at home (buy groceries)
With jobs hard to come by or even being lost, consumers will likely tighten purse strings and buy the groceries to cook at home.

Will wait for it to drop and observe the sales before re-entering. CB easing so not sure how it will affect the sales of SS. Cheers!
Majority of us here will call for sell on SS because of high stock price and high PE and brisk business will go back to normal after lockdown lifted
sold to take profile, looks it will have correction back to its usual P/E
