Totally agree.  The fact that merger is taking longer than expected to finalise can mean that details are still being trashed out. KC is holding the trump card and in the driving seat in the negotiations

Impatience kills! Merger details Q1 2022 barely 2 weeks from now. It would not be beneficial to SHs of SM if merger is without replacing CEO of SM swiftly.

| I wanted to buy more SCM in 2020 when I was given 4.911SCM for every KC share when they demerged.  I saw a lot of potential in SCM then but when it kept losing money and went for the 2nd RI last year, I sold all my SCM.  So whether I am positive or negative is not fixed.    |

Bro
MGO @ 0.08 was customary because Temasek did not wish to take it private then.
Situations, both micro and macro, have changed to the better, I would say much better.
Temasek May change their minds to take SM private but not willing to pay high price. I agree with you because it is public funds and Temasek is not a charitable organization.
But sometimes, their investment protocol is really unfathomable. |

If Temasek had plans to take SCM private, it wld have offered 10c for MGO.  It wld have attracted many to take up MGO at 10c.
By virtue that Temasek offered 8c last year, i reasoned that TH intends to discourage SHs from giving up SC |

If you agree with this basic principle that Temasek is not a charity and must be careful to spend public money, what happens if Temasek decides not to take take SCM private but instead wants to keep it listed?  If SCM keeps losing money, then where shd more money come from?
Some presume that SCM will be too important to be privatised while others are hoping that Temasek will take SCM private.  Time will tell

I totally agree with both CK and Steve in this regard.
That s why the price seems artificially suppressed albeit the robust macro outlook for this industry, SM price did not move up much unlike the Rexes and the Geos. I posted this price suppression suspicion much earlier.
If SM were privatized, it will be obvious there might be an element of conspiracy theory to press down the price so that the offeror needs not offer so high. The Weighted Average price over which X period is crucial if this happens.
My ideal price of 0.124 is not unrealistic. It will neither be a charitable nor a mercenary price level.
As what Manfried stated earlier, let s all wait.

| Remember SMRT! How much premium over the traded price when it was delisted? Managing expectation is important. SMRT was a monopoly business, and SMRT was running the trains with a daily  voluminous business on an all cash payment basis only. Yet SMRT SHs did not get much when SMRT was delisted. Is SM running a monopoly business and have similar daily voluminous cash receipts? If not, and if TH wants to delist SM, I tend to believe that the offer price will be far from attractive.    |

Bottom line all those vested in SM are punters and Gamblers aka investors who 50-50 double up or double down
