U guys have to look carefully at the commentary in the financial report.. 2 sentences that spook investors is one saying its their biggest challenge for the current operating environment, and another is they expect FY2021 to be significantly poorer vs FY2020.. the thing is their current customer once they jump ship, it is hard to win them back i think cos it is abt long term stable supply chain for their customers.. but then again, valuetronics got 44cents cash.. now price is 15 cents ex-cash.. assuming 50% drop in profit next yr, still p/e less than 5 in ex-cash term basis.. analysts like to value fu yu highly and keep saying they are cash rich and value fu yu based on ex-cash p/e.. this valuetronics those analyst double standard lol
Nice closing....
value buy....
good chance. lol.

looks like funds are collecting cheap lagi div time now...
Once China recovers, this stock will soar.
after shaking off weak holders it will go back to 60plus cents.
for me, i would be more concerned on the possibility of losing out potential customers due to the trade tension. this would cause long term recupersion to the share price

Actually since company cutting dividend this year, and MBKE said next year like cut to 50% to conserve cash, why not company give scrip dividend to shareholders at the previous rate HKD 27 cents?
I dont mind getting scip dividend at 20% discount to market price, same as employee stock options.

If boss dont buy in the open market, then dont buy. These people only getting free shares with 20% discount.
Later when share price drop to low low, sure they will announce another batch of new shares options, this time exercise price even lower. For them, they can' t lose.

i tink it go below .55 in the short  term til this trade issues are over. no point getting the div if price drop alot
I would be in denial too if I didn' t cut loss on this share and move on. It' s a company I always like and didn' t fail me in the past but I choose logic over emotions. Don' t like to have sleepless nights.

https://www.smartkarma.com/insights/valuetronics-value-sp-cash-is-an-important-asset-expansion-in-vietnam-continues
However, over the past 24 months, our advice has been there was little reason to rush into the stock as Valuetronics was a prime victim of the trade war with 100% of its factory footprint in China and 40-45% of its revenues derived from North America.
Management has been hard at work diversifying its manufacturing footprint and has been shipping products from Vietnam to US customers over the last two quarters. Valuetronics is now hit by Covid-19 issues. First, it encountered supply issues in China from January-March. Second, it is now encountering demand issues from Western clients in April and May. FY21 will surely be much weaker than FY20 as the company lost a major automotive client. Management is beefing up its Vietnam operations and hiring more business development staff in the USA.
Sounds bad.
0.55 (TP) + 0.025 (Dividend) = 0.575 (Entry price?)

Maybe Tmr will sell down see if will break below 0.550
Not convinced leh. The report say many good things but then downgrace TP ???? :- does not make sense. I
eg
- was slightly ahead of our consensus/ expectation
- implying 5.3% yield (Good) and 49% payout
- continue to be cash-generatibe and has a cash of $0.44 per share (very good)
- net profit down 13% (what is the big deal at such time)
The only thing downside is the heighten trade tensions.
But such trade tensions has been there since 2019  and even if this is the case - the impact is on all markets - why only on this stock. Not convinced
Maybe they also want to buy in.....my personal view. ddyod
