STI is finally catching up with US index. We are lagging behind. S& P500 already 3055 and yet STI is barely 2600. If STI close up gap on S& P 500, the constituents which include SPH, CDG. SATS and Sembcorp should increase over the coming weeks, especially with the good data from China and the easing of circuit breakers. Keeping fingers crossed.
i happen to be in construction. do u know how much caterers are being paid. a bit like national service,
problem here is that once u can operate, government assistance will stop. but operating at a much lower capacity with fixed cost means losing more money.
eg retails shops. once u open, landlord is not going to subsidise your rental anymore. no valid reason to. thats when retrenchement and companies going down will begin.

SIA is taking off already, this one serves food on SIA flights should follow closely i think. Somemore their catering food revenue have been partially cushioned by catering for foreign workers since April to now.
due to cb, very free and have time to look at this forum, have learnt a lot from members here.
not expert but just to offer another perspertive. am in business.
the optimism in the mkt is expected given the opening up. however, the true test (to be seen overtime) is how inclusive is the opening up.
for airlines, they only make only maybe from 80% capacity onwards. likewise for restaurants and retails - majority of cost is rent and labour.
so if opening up means only 50 to 60% capacity, from business perpective, we lose less money staying close.
for sia, i feel if only partial opening, they may continue to bleed for many more quarters and that may cause permanent damage to its financials.
same for retail reits, there is a possibilty things will not be as rosy as pre covid.
of course, this is for people holding LT, if trading, this is all irrelavant.

In my opinion, once T5 up, price is even gonna rocket up.
However, once air traffic builds up again like how sars is like,
Pretty sure we can make double or prolly triple.
Best of luck everyone.

SATS at below $3 is still cheap. Waiting for it to double when the situation is over.

Keep fingers crossed - should have dividends.
FY20 - 25% dip in profits only + already issued notes $300m. No need to conserve cash ...  just my unilateral thinking.

Dividend should have at 2%
Still dreaming of dividend. Hopefully lor
