So nice if all of us can buy house at book value.  I think a 3 room HDB flat is like only worth 20k in book value.

Goodness! CDG paid $116.3m for ST' s shares with NTA/book value of $37.4m? And expecting more competition with the entry of GrabCab. CDG must be run by a bunch of rich kids, overpaying for everything from CityCab to Addison Li. DYODD!
Good move because taxi companies will get the first shot to introduce Robotaxis and likely to replace existing taxi fleet. And Robotaxis will a huge income generator.

Wolf Money(portfolio update end Aug 2025) CDG related
High asset price, low unemployment
Our government has formed committees to look into strengthening our economy and employment. Given the era of trade war, Singapore as an entrepô t hub is under threat. We might enjoy the lowest baseline tariffs, but high tariffs on sub-sector like semiconductor and pharmaceutical exports is the most concerning. Both exports contribute a significant portion of our manufacturing output. It is a difficult situation for any country, not just Singapore, to deal with Draconian trade measures imposed by the US.

Yea!   I up by 1 cent :)
It's giving out 3.91cts interim dividend this evening.
Interim dividends for 2024, 2023, 2022 & 2021 were 3.52cts, 2.9cts, 2.85cts (exclude special dividend) & 2.1cts respectively. The dividend hike is made possible with its business expansion abroad. This is far more impt than the daily price wiggles which is all sound & fury signifying nothing.
It is bouncing back.  Short selling so far is 45% of the volume this week and only manage to suppress down the price by 4cents.

The cash hoarding is better placed to invest for higher returns.
CDG can consider to launch an Australian transport IPO to pare down its investment and run it like a reit.
The recent overseas acquisitions of a2b, CMAC are not generating revenues to justify the goodwill paid, how to expect Comfort delgro and share price to do well? Big boys and funds can read the tea leaves better than retail investors.
Technically it is not in a bullish zone. Wait for income funds to move in when they switch out of others divedend yielding stocks with steep valuations.
With more incoming rolling in especially from overseas...lesser and lesser reasons for share price to remain in 1.4X range.

Aggressive short selling which I think is unreasonable and price is likely to bounce back soon.
