I Have both, high blood pressure and high cholestrol.
Cholestrol surfaced about 15 or so years ago.
Well managed by medication. Atorvastatin from the poly.
High Blood pressure visited me about 8/9 years ago.
And has been a real problem. Refuses to go away.
Started with 40mg of Valsartan from the poly, once a day.
Then twice.
Then increase dosage to 80mg, twice a day.
So, from 40mg to now 160mg.
Still despite being regular with medication, it does not control it well.
Like right now is 157/97. Sometimes higher and other times lower.  Lunch from home, in order to control salt intake and oil.
Still uncontrolled high blood pressure.
In comparison, a friend of mine, who is a heavy smoker, takes half my dosage, and has his blood pressure well controlled.
So, I try to chill. To Bring it down when it goes high. Work, worrying and stress spikes it.
During 2 motnhs of Covid lockdown, with no work and no income and no worries, blood pressure was normal with medication.
Still am thankful have not suffered any heart issues or been hospitalised.
And happy to enjoy another day when I wake up in the morning.

General sanvan,
Sorry to hear you are on long term meds for high blood pressure.
I am on long term meds to control blood cholesterol.
Have been taking it for 25 years, I think.
Thank God my choleterol level is well under control.
All these years, I am taking the same dosage. No increase in dosage.
During my pre-health insurance medical checkup, I told the doctor everything about my blood cholesterol history.
Showed her all the blood test results over the last 3 years or so. My insurance agent had pre-empted me that since
I have been on medication for 25 years, very likely all blood cholesterol related illnesses like heart attack, stroke etc
will be excluded from my policy should the insurers decide to offer me cover. So I waited earnestly for the outcome.
Then the offer of insurance came. I accepted the offer and paid the premiums. It was a standard issue document
with no fine print. After that I asked my agent to check whether any exclusion. He checked and came back with his
answer - " NO EXCLUSION !!! Waaa....you very lucky arrr " he said.  I said maybe mine is a borderline case and my
cholesterol level is not high plus no high blood pressure issue. He said " No leh. Many of his clients who are on meds
for cholesterol all had exclusions. Some were refused cover.    Well, only one thing for me to say - Praise The Lord !!!
I asked my doctor is high blood pressure an age-related issue. She said no. There are many young people with high
blood pressure too. The science says it is related to genes. High blood pressure is genetic. Could be hereditary too.
I suppose you can read up more online on what food to eat which can help to lower your blood pressure naturally.
Take care.

Just entertain yourself with the cleaning lady on the deck.
Btw, there is a series called The Cleaning Ladies on Netflix.
I am watching it.
Its entertaining if you have nothing to do and are really bored.

AEM has a monkey in it.
Thats the US semiconductor industry.
The AI hype in the US.
Has JP Morgan in it. Bought just below $5. 7% stake.
So, the play continues.
But can become $1.20 and then go to $10.
Sampan is boring, for us retirees, or soon to be retirees.
Suits our blood pressure better.
Btw, I am on blood pressure medicine.
So, I will stick to Sampan., Singtel, CDL, FLCT etc.

sampan recovered 2.56 : 2.57.
Bro Caesar,
CONGRATS again.
You are in a sweet spot.
What you are experiencing now is something which some of us get to experience once in our investing lifetime.
Many people never experience it at all.
And very, very few people get to experience it more than once.
I had mine a very long time ago.
Back then I had used CFD (Contract For Difference) to buy a stock called Capital Malls Asia (CMA).
My positions were down by more than 10k and I was doing the " if lose, LOON until win" thingy.
Then one fine morning when I logged into my account, I was surprised to see my positions was not more than 10k in red
but more than 10k in green. My first reaction was " this is an error...a technical glitch" . So I refreshed the page and again,
it showed a paper profit of more than 10k in green. I then checked the market price of CMA using another trading platform
and discovered my stock had gone up significantly. I went to a stock forum to investigate and discovered Capitaland had
made a general offer to all shareholders to take CMA private. No wonder lah. But damn $HIOK to see a position flipped
180-degrees from 5-figure red to 5-figure green.
Your immediate challenge now is - WHEN TO SELL.
This is not an easy question to answer.
She closed at 6.06 on Friday after having reached 6.19.
I would have thought she would break below 6.00 to head lower.
Who would have thought she will reach 6.90 today.
So is she going to show us $8.00 or even $10.00 by the end of this week?
Nobody knows.
Except the monkey who is behind this game of musical chairs.
All the best to you, Bro Caesar.
Happy figuring out when to sell.
But one thing is for sure - SELL, YOU MUST.

Bro Caesar,
You de the man.
50% profit, you had the patience to wait.
And therefore are rewarded.
I would have sold well before it reached $6.
Caesar = Patience.
Well done.

This is good news for those looking to accumulate.
When good stocks take a dip, it is a case of one man' s meat is another man' s poison.
For traders especially contra traders, it is poison.
For long term investors, it is juicy and delicious premium meat.
Both sampan and SingTel are premium meat to long term investors.
Investing is a marathon, not a sprint.
Play the long game and we will win.

Up or Down.
And Singtel.
Up or Down.
And Singtel.
Let' s say Trump and the Iranians finally reach a deal to end the war but it isn' t exactly a good deal becoz Trump dont get what
he wants. The Iranians get to keep their enriched uranium and nuclear facilities which they claim is for peaceful purpose and
within their sovereign right as a nation. All they give is a verbal assurance they will not acquire nuclear weapons. Just say only.
But no need to do anything more. But Trump makes the deal anyway. Becoz Trump has no other viable option. Coz the only way
to seize Iran' s enriched uranium is to put boots on the ground which Trump is not willing to do due to mid-term elections in Nov
and lessons learnt from Iraq and Afghanistan. But from an investor' s point of view, does it matter that the deal is not a great one?
No, it doesn' t. Whether the deal is great or not so great or bad doesnt matter at all. What matters is the war ends. And markets
will celebrate that by CHEONGing.

Bro Caesar,
A 50% gain is what you get.
For your courage to make this bet.
For many years when you were stuck.
You often wonder if you should just cut.
From time to time we will see fear.
Just get used to it and bring out the beer.
Drawdowns are part and parcel of this game.
Getting our trades wrong brings no shame.
Markets will not be always down.
Good times will come back, no need to frown.
" Stay invested, dont time the market" .... so they say.
Pick the right stocks and they will pay.
Investing is a marathon, not a sprint.
Play the LONG game and you will win.

Yup. Wishing everyone a great and fruitful weekend.
