Yields is better than FD, UOB pomotion rates is 1.1% for 13months, yearly is around 1.01%.
I guess the issue is IF starhub can maintain this level of dividend down the road? Proift are dropping ....w a 4th telcon it will be worst.
staff cost most likely not going down in the near future. So Starhub would be facing more tough time . Dont see any catalyst so far.

why such a big drop today to S$3.27 while they maintain the S$0.20 dividend policy ?
dividend yield now stood at 6.12%.
Still 5 cents div... ok lah... can have 20 cents yearly....

How's their handset sales?
Dropped 62%?!??! don' t anyhow say. later you get sued for spreading false rumors for such huge discrepancy.

9 months profit dropped 1.4% but div stay at 5 cents.

If TPG wins, M1 and Starhub mati. This US venture fund has very good track record in new startups. Remember UTAC from nothing to world top 5 in just X years. Also financially very strong, always have billions $ scouting around the world for deals. And #2 Telco in Australia after SingTel and shares in US giant size telco. Surprise ppl dont do any research, just shout buy buy buy. Buy at your own risk hor.

Starhub seems to have fallen to attractive valuation and value buy now
2009? That was 2G or 3G? Now we are in 4G era,.....watching videos, drama, massive data usage, gaming, emailing, internet using iphones and android smart phones. How to compare then and now? Starhub has since also diversified by acquiring new businesses eg MM2 last year. Quarterly dividend 5c = 20c, gives a yield of 5.88%, still v attractive. A 4th telco, even if eventually approved by IDA, will take time to build a customer base, because most of us will find it cumbersome to switch to a new provider, unless it can offer a much more competitive deal.

Climbed 5pts in the open, but dropped 6pts to 3.41 now
5% monthly income story...........ended with 87.5% loss
heard from a causual acquaintance that she joined the passive income auto-system trading forex, recommend ppl will get higher %.
