China' s new orders in July, new exports and output increased, driven by the overall manufacturing purchasing managers index (PMI) slightly increased by 0.1 over the previous month, reaching 51, showing the manufacturing sector for 11 consecutive months to expand.  Among them, the electronics industry index rose 0.1 in July to 52.2, showing the electronics industry for 12 months to expand.

This is in line with analysts' expectations, but analysts warn that growth is mainly due to semiconductor rather than all manufacturing sectors.  Purchasing Managers' Index is a leading indicator of the local manufacturing sector, below 50% of the line that means manufacturing shrinking, maintained at 50 or more that expansion.

The latest data from the Singapore Institute for Purchasing and Logistics (SIPMM) show that the overall manufacturing purchasing managers' index has risen, but the increase has been driven by low inventories and a shrinking job market, leading to slows in expansion.  The college predicts that manufacturing will continue to grow this year.
