well, i guess for their business unit of cinema, you can either build via talking to landlord for choice site (if any), invest capex to fit out, operations & execution, and market a brand new site.

All risky. 

imho for expansion by paying a sound price for existing profitable means save on capex, operational ramp up, and even marketing (if the cinema is well known and has a good regular crowd).

The alternative to the 2 points above is to standstill and don' t grow.

The boss has shown consistently that he brings in strategic parties by way of discounted shares where dilution hits him the hardest being the largest shareholder, and growing the entire cake bigger.

May not be the best strategy, but maybe you can share other growth strategies.

 

Growing by acquisition is fast but unsustainable. 

Show me the cashflow...

 

This MM2 kept buying so many things. Enough money? Need to borrow more money???

i think QE means a lot of companies can get funds to do M& A too
