Sembcorp, ST Engineering explore use of AirFish WIG craft to support Batam industrial operations

Singapore?s Sembcorp Industries Ltd is working with ST Engineering to study the potential use of the AirFish Voyager wing in ground craft to support mobility and logistics across its industrial developments in Batam, Indonesia.
The companies are assessing how the next generation WIG vessel could improve connectivity between industrial estates as activity in Batam continues to expand, particularly in manufacturing and data center operations.
The AirFish Voyager is designed to travel at speeds comparable to aircraft while operating close to the water surface and requiring limited supporting infrastructure. Sembcorp said the concept could provide an additional transportation option for personnel and operational activities across its estates.
My take is those who bought below $6 can sit back and fasten their seat belts now.

SCI has to recover strongly eventually. It is one of the very few stocks left in the market which is way below fair value.

Observed some improvements in the latest chart
1. price has just broken up the trendline
2. the 20 MA not only cutting above the 50 MA but has also turning up slightly
3. 50 MA also beginning to flatten up
4. ADX (not shown in chart) has turned up a little

Why not. If Alinta continues making the same profits, SCI should achieve the same or more profits than Keppel, which is trading at double the price and double the PE, with bulk of Keppel' s profits still coming from the same source that SCI is specialising in.

Notice today?s short sell volume has come down from average of over a million shares to about 680k. This is an improvement although the price has been suppressed.

Today STI up by 26 points (0.54%), and Sembcorp up by 5 cents (0.83%)....Very good - at least it didn' t go down.

Decline to 60.3M short shares. It is a good sign before the FY2025 financial results will be out on 25 Feb 2026. Likely, the shortists will not hold the short positions longer. 30% stake in Senoko energy increased to 50% in mid-June 2025 plus significant scale up to about 20 GW in renewables energy including a few projects under construction/development in 2H 2025 from 13.4 GW in 1H 2025 may give the financial numbers a surprise despite soft spread in gas price. This year ahead will see explosive growth and value through Alinta Energy acquisition and sale/IPO of Indian-based assets respectively.

Slightly rise to 63.3M short shares. Alinta Energy acquisition approved at EGM today. No need to worry about coming Fy2025 earning impact limit. As for profoma earning for FY2025 based on Alinta Energy acquisition, it is projected to be 70 cents per share. (PER 8.6x). Focus on robust earning with rich postive operating cash flow of at least 2 billion dollars for next FY2026 and beyond and so stay invested.

| Rise to 62.6M short shares. Good news is that there is no profit warning for the full year 2025 result out on 25th Feb 2026 even though most investors expected a weak margin in gas segment. No matter how little better or little worse the full year 2025 result is, be strongly optimistic about forwarding SCI's FY 2026 and beyond. It points to a large size and net profit of Alinta Energy quite comparable to that of SCI and its strong steady CAGR growth with 10.4 GW development plan in the pipeline. |
