Another rubber company! Price was 0.90 in 2015. Should be able to easily cross that and follow in steps of riverstone, top glove, Medtecs
This counter is a joke.
Each time someone deals 1000 shares costing less than $500, the share price crash.
Today Vol 1000 shares crash share price 4.8%.....................
3.44%

this is a clear play to rubber, and they are now the largest in the world post the various M& A exercise. only other peer out there globally that can be a match is Sri Trang which hasn' t even managed to turnaround. unlike Noble which is mostly a trader, this derives bulk of earnings from processing and distribution.
given that rubber is a necessity commodity (largest sector that uses it is automotive for tire makers then glove manufacturers), do not think prices will stay indefinitely under breakeven threshold.

interestingly, few takeaways:
1) two consecutive quarters of profit achieved, so clear turnaround play (despite rubber prices remaining at multi-year low levels)
2) potential upside from spike in rubber prices (ongoing discussions about protests in Thailand from the farmers) essentially production is now below breakeven levels so demand/supply will adjust to equilibrium
3) divestment of SIAT will net 192.6m euros for the group (to improve gearing ratio)
4) continues to grow inorganically with recent M& A annc
5) world' s largest rubber player that is fully integrated with upstream (plantation), mid-stream (processing) and downstream (distribution) channels presently deriving most of the profits from mid-down streams
6) backed by SOE, Sino-Chem that can drive operational (network and access to China' s market) and financial synergies (cheaper refinancing)
quite curious why no brokers cover a billion dollar company like them.

Record profit for 2 quarters, seems like the salted fish has flip. But no interest from the market.
Price continue to climb. Hopefully this momentum keeps on going
The price is slowly creeping up ...

Since my last post two mths ago, I' ve noticed that rubber px has been creeping up.  In tandam, this Halcyon has also been creeping up steadily.

Rubber px still very wk, although recovered quite a lot from last yr' s lows.  But I recall reading recently that some rubber producing country (think it' s Vietnam) being concerned that planters were giving up on rubber n that' s  this cld  result in a future shortage.  So, this may be good for long term, but immediate future might not be so rosy.  I' m not vested.
