The CEO has 47miln options according to a filing in SGX in Feb ' 17.
patience will pay off for those who wait, my friend.
tried asking some friends and realised that not many people even realise that this company has a precision engineering business that is generating almost $10m net profit yearly. Giken Sakata itself is a turnaround story within GSS which most investors and analysts are not aware of. valuations look compelling, less than 10x PE and EV/EBITDA of less than 2. (industry peers are easily trading above 10x PE and EV/EBITDA of 4+) while it has maintained positive operating cash flow for the past 2-3 years.
the company is still very much under researched and under the radar. throughout the last 12 months, the CEO has also been doing insider buy-ins from time to time with last buy-in of 1.4m shares at $0.175/share. this isn' t too far off from where the price of the company is today.
don' t forget, the CEO comes from private equity background so he certainly realises the intrinsic value of the Group and how/what he can potentially leverage on the listco to maximise value.

noticed that volume has been on the climb alongside the share price.
believe that the precision engineering business should do well as most manufacturers such as Hi-P, Sunningdale, Memtech, Valuetronics have all been positively re-rated. Hi-P, Elec & Elek and MIT have also issued positive profit guidance so Giken Sakata within GSS Energy should also perform after turning around last year.
