Operating records for the first 2 months (Apr , May 2024) of FY 2024/25 are  10+% higher that the same period  previous year .
SIA had 2 consecutive years of record profit, so as long as she can keep up the current level of profits (Fy 2022/23 or  2023/2024), it' s considered excellent.

SIA Group passenger traffic rises 10.2% in May
Budget airline Scoot has started flights to Koh Samui on its new Embraer E190-E2 aircraft
SINGAPORE Airlines (SIA) Group reported a 10.2 per cent year-on-year increase in passenger traffic in May 2024, as demand for air travel remained robust.

During the month, Singapore Airlines and Scoot carried 3.2 million passengers in total, 14.3 per cent higher than a year ago, the group said on Tuesday (Jun 18) as it reported its operating results for May. Passenger capacity increased by 12.6 per cent.

As a result, group passenger load factor stood at 86.1 per cent, with SIA and its low-cost airline arm Scoot posting monthly passenger load factors of 85.6 per cent and 88.1 per cent, respectively.

Cargo loads rose by 18.5 per cent year on year on the back of strong e-commerce demand and some demand spillover resulting from disruptions in sea freight, the group said.

This outpaced the capacity expansion of 11.7 per cent for the same period. Consequently, the cargo load factor came in at 56.5 per cent, 3.3 percentage points higher than a year before.

Scoot commenced passenger flights to Koh Samui on its new Embraer E190-E2 aircraft on May 13. With this addition, the group now serves a total of six points in Thailand.

At the end of May 2024, the group&rsquo s passenger network covered 123 destinations in 36 countries and territories. SIA served 77 destinations, while Scoot served 68 destinations. The cargo network comprised 127 destinations in 37 countries and territories.

Operational Performance of Singapore Airlines -- almost at pre-COVID levels, but profits are way up
According to SIA -- they expect to reach pre-pandemic passenger capacity levels within this FY.
It is interesting to note that even though capacity levels have not recovered to pre-pandemic levels.
Profits are way, way, way higher than pre-pandemic levels.
Some quick numbers:
FY2023/24 net profit: S$2.675 billion
FY2018/19 (pre-COVID) net profit: S$682.7 million
In plain English -- Singapore Airlines FY24 profit is $2.0 billion higher (or 295% higher) than pre-COVID levels,
despite the fact that their passenger capacity has not even recovered to pre-COVID levels.

Singapore Airlines pays a 7.1% dividend yield
In FY24, Singapore airlines declared a total dividend of 48 cents.
Using the latest share price of $6.74 -- that works out to a 7.1% dividend yield.
Given that DBS and OCBC bank pay about 6% dividend yield, Singapore airlines actually has a higher dividend yield than the Singapore banks.
And this 7.1% dividend yield is only at a conservative 52% payout ratio (similar payout ratio to the banks).
So as long as Singapore airlines can keep up the current level of profits, the dividend may be pretty sustainable.

This stock won't go any much higher already..All the profits made have already been factored into the share price. It's quite a tough road ahead for SQ as profits are thinning n running costs are getting much higher.

What u meant was probably when people are already down and out, will they also suffer even more in an unfortunate event?
Putting things in the third person (he/she/it/they/them) might be less construed as personal attack.
Won't it??
