The option granted to CEO is not 47m, that's the total number granted to few key executives of the company including the CEO. Some of the options are discounted and some are at market price at the time of grant. They can't excercise it till at least 1 year and 2 years later. This is positive as they have to ensure GSS is profitable thus share price will go up accordingly. If not no incentive to excercise the option. We cannot simply view option to company's executive as bad thing. I think this option is incentive for them to make sure oil business come to fruition. They may excercise the option but doesn't mean they will sell. The lifespan of the option is 5 yrs, which is a short time. They better make the stock 50 cents by then 😂

Don' t have big positions, just small ones not worth mentioning.   I have Koh Eco, building collection, good time to do so because of the rights issue, some dumping.       Looking at others based on charts for short term trading.

Regarding investment bankers as CEOs, I personally see it as downside risks.   Look at what happend to big commercial banks that put Investment bankers as their CEOs.   ABN Amro, Deutshe bank.   Within a few years, all went downhill. Too quick to do big deals, without building a stable base, they want big meat but ignore the rice that fills the stomach.     Those are major banks with long history and stable commercial banking business.   The investment banker CEOs destroyed the business within a few years.
I see a lack of disclosure in GSS, if they are more forthcoming, at least shareholders are more assured. \

TigTig      ( Date: 23-Jul-2017 16:35) Posted:

Not yet.   I looked at it and found there are questions.   Pose here for two reasons.     Want to find out more.   Second, confirm whether the oil is in the money.

Noticed the os shares is about 500mln.   Giving 47mln to CEO?
Not vested, but if I am, I would certainly question this.

I think the company can make money, but the potential growth is really what investors are looking for.   The oil produced, I read, has to be sold back to the Indo Govt.   The important question is sale of oil is at what price, are there caps?   If ti' s a free float market price, the potential for growth from oil sales is there.   If it' s capped, the growth upside is limited, dependant on other biz.

There' s a $13.6mln profit in financial year end 31st Dec 2016.   Out of which $10mln " Other Income" comes from sale of Subsi and land acquisition compensatioin, etc.   Extra ordinary income that is not recurring.   Net, net only $3mln profit.
Precision engineering - I can' t find any description of contributions, if anyone can, please enlighten.
The Company also has negative retained earnings, which possibly came about due to some restructuring, merger, etc, I didn' t find out more, but accumulated retained earnings obviously helps in funding new ventures.

The price has risen considerably over past months, whether it' s justified remains to be seen.
Reason I went to look into detail is I was thinking of vesting.       It still may be a good investment, but then, let' s be clear with the numbers before we jump in.
