Conclusion is for Polaris/Trikomsel mgt  not to push their luck too far. Seeks Noteholders understanding & help for a mutual win-win situation. If really cannot reach an agreement with noteholders, don' t forced/push it.
Proceed it  with a right issue & /or even getting new strategic investors like Singpost/Singtel/ Alibaba  & /or getting Softbank to increase their stake to  25%/30%.
Trikomsel has the cut to be SingPost of Indonesia.

However if this entire issue is mismanaged, noteholders/creditors could very well start legal proceeding to forced liquidate or forced take over  of the company to maximise their debt recovery. If this happens, all will be losers starting with Polaris with  its' entire stake wiped out.

If correct, this is just a stunt to get " cheap" loans from noteholders. No reason to involve noteholders if a 45% shareholder (biggest)  call for right issue. A right issue size of between SGD50/100 mio should closed the case.
If this is indeed a " Debt Restructuring Program" , Trikomsel will need to seek Polaris' s approval. Anyway, Polaris & Trikomsel shared the same Board of Directors.

As of 31 Dec ' 14, Polaris recorded a book value of $318.5m for its investment in Trikomsel, which makes up a whopping 94% of the group' s entire equity value of $338.6m.
If Trikomsel fails to restructure its debts, Polaris may potentially see a massive wipeout of its book value.

If Trikomsel invested in Polaris & Trikomsel is in trouble, I don't see why Polaris should be in this shit as well~ just my 5cents

Polaris did not invest in Trikomsel, or did it?   It is Trikomsel that invested in Polaris.
So it is pure speculation.   Polaris should not be attacked, I think so.   But I may not be understanding the minds of speculators.   Lol.
The biggest share holder facing financial prob then Polaris, business wise, I am not sure but in terms of share price, it is only logical for it to plunge. I hope I am wrong but with high volume and the price is slowly going down, this is the worst secenario you can hope for.

No reason for Trikomsel just to limit herself to sell handsets & IT gadgets. With so many outlets all over Indonesia, they could expand their business scope  to remittances, collection centres for anything & everything (like for  HP & IBM service centres, passports), personal loan/insurance products.
All the wonderful business possibilities only  limited by imagnation.

By the way, Trikomsel has been profitable at least since 2011 to last reported quarter Jun 2015.

Any companies going into ecommerce will definitely be interested to take over Trikomsel with 1000 outlets to service Indonesian market. Potential buyers will include entities like  Softbank, Alibaba, Singpost, Singtel or even Temasek. I felt like Trikomsel business model  could be re-invent to be like SingPost/Singtel Hello Shop.

should polaris to share 44.9% debt?
treetops ( Date: 19-Oct-2015 14:48) Posted:

Meaning new buyer to take over.
Is big share holder facing problem, not Polaris facing financial problem...
That means finish already. All these make sense now I realize, the reason the price is never being pushed up is because the major shareholder need money so they are the one dumping to us but not buying from us.
Game over
Game over
