Yes, but the chinese yards will come better prepared this time round, especially after seeing the record breaking price tags for p84 and p85. The chinese are smart and will find a workaround solution. Also brazil will want to give the chinese some biz as they are big buyer of brazillain oil. Reciprocity.

COOEC may not meet Brazil requirement..they have to pull out of P84 and P85 because of this. Seatrium have brazil yard advantage.

Contractors in Asia are gearing up for the upcoming challenge, with their eyes set on the P-86 FPSO engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract that Petrobras plans to start in a few weeks to advance the secondary development of Marlim Sul and Marlim Leste in Brazil?s Campos Basin.
In this global bidding, Petrobras has pre-qualified nearly 20 international contractors. Among these contractors, 10 are from Asia, one is from the Middle East, two are from Brazil, and five are from Europe. It is particularly noteworthy that Malaysia's MISC Berhad has newly joined the bidding lineup in February 2024.
Sources revealed that at least eight Asian contractors are actively preparing to participate in the bidding, including China Offshore Oil Engineering Corporation (COOEC), CIMC Raffles, Singapore's Seatrium, three South Korean contractors and Malaysia's MISC. These contractors may form a consortium to bid jointly, and Seatrium and CIMC Raffles are expected to work together.

47% are shorts.   Actually I dunno why Seatrium is such a magnet.   There are now plenty of stocks out there with a lot more meat like the banks, REITs and telcos.
