Salic more keen to get the deal sealed asap, but not Olam.
That works out at a 9% return on the consideration. Yes it seems having a delay is a good thing - 9% is a lot higher than the cost of debt the money would be used to pay down.
It is beneficial to Olam if the deal is dragged to Feb or even April . Olam can earn extra ticker money of usd636K per day .
Hope they announce soon but I wouldn't be surprised if it drag till Feb or April.
This did not happen.

Can get the total figure from Google ai or chatGpt
In fact the longer the delay of the closing of Tren 1 , the more Olam will earn the daily ticker of about usd636,000 a day. Since 1 June 2025 , Olam had been earning this extra 636k per day till 31/12 . Not a bad deal at all.
good news coming?
Strong buying at closing .
They already stated very clearly the trenche 1 will be closed by end of 4q 2025. They need to announce it is closed or delay by today .
They are not the most forthcoming on disclosures. It would not surprise me if they did not say anything until the FY results itself, along with annoucing a special div.
Any time from now to the released of news of trench 1 closing !
Screw up coy...says ipo..never happened..
Just screw up...
this is intriguing.
it is about time that Temasek pushes the management to finally reward the shareholders.
Olam Group has announced two changes to the composition of its board with effect from November 24
Temasek director Nagi Hamiyeh has resigned as non-executive director of the company,
and Temaseks Dinesh Khanna, alternative director to Hamiyeh, has been appointed as non-executive director in his place.

2nd half should make more due to festive seasons like Xmas , new year ,, CNY etc etc . Need more ingredients to make finished goods.
1h25 already made 8.6 cents EPS , FY should be more than 15 cents .. Final dividend will be very high .
Hahaha ... what a joke ..

Anyway..... the biggest question is whether a true liquidation of Olam with a sale of OFI is necessary to maximise value for Olam shareholders.
An important question that may have bearing on this is how OFI' s business is affected by the prices of cocoa and coffee. For the past few years both have been strong which has left OFI struggling with high interest costs from funding the working capital. But in 2025 coffee prices have stayed high while cocoa prices are now dropping fast. We won' t be able to see the financial impact on OFI until the FY25 results. That may have a big say in determining when and how OFI will be sold.
