Good sign for those who are in.
Up with high volume.

Break 2 Liao
Up or down..funds decide..
So call expert and insider sell cause panic than buy back low and gain profit CDG will not buy a non profit business time to buy in
Probably explains why insiders sold down since 2 fridays ago...

For a loss making company, CDG bought LCR at 90% of its book value valued at NAV $642M.
Hmmm....
Doesnt seems to me like a good value deal!  |

market confidence on cdg is only temp. will be shorted again few days later.
.
i wouldn' t want to go into the technical differences of running both.. if you think its e same, its up to u. I have given my opinion, i can be wrong. But i am a naysayer of comfort since its $3days... Comfort can only pray that no further and stricter regulations comes for PHVs now... Any extra $1 raised by grab, will have double the negative impact directly on comfort now.

I think running PHVs rental requires the same expertise as running taxi business, rental and maintenance only what? So CDG is very capable of running PHVs. It already had its own car leasing business before this.
I think the MAIN issue of this deal is, is the price right.... ?

From POV of shareholders, i will preferably want the company to return me the money as dividends instead of pumping into this. Let the shareholders have the flexibility to buy into whatever risk they want, but not for a well managed taxi company to get involve into phv. Nv branch out into what you dunno.. Rem, when uber/grab first arrives in sg, comfort management warn the drivers not to use the apps and never did anything to help them actually.
They are slow to realise this is a disruptor, what makes them competent enough to run this business now |

Why CDG so stupid to pick up a $1b debt? Is there any hidden agenda, with 4 decades of business experience, can't they figure out this is a lose lose deal? Is there something behind their sleeves? CDG was not born yesterday!
alexchew ( Date: 11-Dec-2017 10:19) Posted:
It' s not an asset purchase actually. It' s a 51% share in the company. So, comes along with everything, not cherry pick. Ultimately, now you have a old management taxi operator that has majority share in  a PHV business. For sure, conflict of interest will be there one day... To give my one dollar to my taxi or to my phv.. Uncertainty is never good. Until they are able to synergise both... But if they do uber/comfort synergy, does it mean they are kick out of grab? this is going to be interesting, but before we see any winners, more money have to be thrown in for sure.. Where got things come for free one.. Just lay ur bets or stay out of it and look for easier counters..

| Sometime I'm wondering, I corps be naive, could it be the $295 mil CDG offered EXCLUDES the $1b debt lcr has? Just perky buying the cars? Possible? I'm not sure...... |
